I stay at The Lodge weekly for work on Moffett Field. I check in every Monday and stay for the duration of the week. Sylvia and her gang do a bang up job here! Every week my room is ready even though I typically arrive prior to regular check-in time. My room is always clean with fresh towels an linens. In fact they just got brand new bedspreads and they look much nicer than the old ones. The rooms are large and are all furnished a little differently than the next but comfortable and like I said always clean. Amenities include wifi(usually available) coffee maker in room and satellite TV(limited channels but they’re working on it) and a full sized fridge. Abundant parking and it’s almost always really quiet! Now for the quirks. It has an aroma of … well… I think it’s a combo of coffee, grandma’s house and just plain old building(which it definitely is) but after 5 minutes you don’t notice it and it’s mostly confined to common areas. The shower lacks pressure but I think they have water saver shower heads due to our«Drought». The beds are a little«Springy» but I’ve had no problems sleeping here. No elevator so if you have mobility concerns you should let them know when booking so you’ll get a first floor room. The front desk staff it ALWAYS helpful and friendly and the cleaning ladies are a delight! I like it here and will continue to be staying here for another two or three months. For the price you can’t beat it and if you’re have business or are visiting family on Moffet then it’s less than 5 minutes to wherever you need to be! See ya at The Lodge!

I’ve stayed at the NASA lodge around 5 or 6 times. I come here monthly for my military weekends. While it does have a faint odor of, what’s hard to describe, but is probably close to an old persons house, somewhat spotty wifi, older in need of renovation, does not have the most comfortable beds, and odd hours, the NASA lodge provides a clean bed and shower for $ 65/night. That’s $ 30 cheaper than the worst super 8 motel in the Silicon Valley and almost all hotels are at least $ 100, but closer to $ 200 more per night in the area. Only once have they been sold out completely and unable to get me in a room. If you are working or visiting Moffett the bonus is you don’t have to deal with the horrible Bay Area traffic, which is utterly ridiculous. So despite what it lacks and being extremely basic, I will continue to stay here whenever possible because it’s clean, incredibly cheap, and chances are your neighbor is a rocket scientist and not a crackhead selling drugs out of his room.
