Giving one star because their staff USED to be nice and helpful.
Giving another star because they stock good products.
Would give more stars, but the current staff there is just awful…
Been coming here for a few years now, and the employees used to be upbeat, asked whether or not I needed help, and were chatty. Recently, the staff has gotten incredibly rude and unwelcoming.
For example:
Came in this morning, with literally nobody else shopping, and the only shop assistant there was stocking shelves. At the checkout, not a please, not a thank you, not a smile, just an automatic «Can I see your card? Can I see your ID? Your total is $XX.XX Here’s your receipt.» The WHOLE transaction, the girl had this frown on her face, as if me being there and purchasing something was the bane of her existence. It’s not like I had been difficult, I hadn’t asked her ONE question, hadn’t asked her for ANY help and was polite throughout the time there, all I needed was to give her money in exchange for merchandise. Which is her JOB. Don’t like it? Go work somewhere else.
I’m not a person who needs their cashier to be over-​the-​top bouncy and happy at all times, but she was borderline rude. I literally had to REACH across the counter to get my items and put them in my bag, because she had hoarded them close to her after scanning and didn’t bother to move them across the counter towards me. She’s was more useless than a self-​checkout stand. I have never seen anyone be so unhappy to process a transaction.
I GET that a person can have a bad day. I GET that you can be tired. I GET that customers can be difficult. But it was 9.30AM on a Thursday, and I was buying less than 10 items. Unless you dealt with a dozen clients before me and they all were jerks, there is no reason to treat anyone with that dissatisfied face on.
Forget customer service at this place. They used to have it, but with the current staff, it’s nonexistent.

This is my absolute favorite Salon Centric store in the Bay Area. The staff here is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. The store is always well kept, clean, and organized. This will continue to be my go-​to store for all if my salon product needs.
