Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

Spoke w Edgar about getting a color made by another paint company… was efficient and made it clear that it could be done without making my life difficult. Thanks buddy!

We came into the store on 11/​14/​2010 – the last day of the 40% off sale and purchased a painting supplies as well as paint for a new vacation home I purchased about 90 miles away. Paul helped us and was very pleasant to work with during the whole process. He stated that they did not have all of our paint in stock, but he would place an order for us, and someone would call us to tell us to pick it up once it was in the store.
I did not receive a call for two weeks. I was still doing construction on the home, so I wasn’t in a hurry, but I still called to get the status. The person who answered the phone could not find me in the system. They asked me to call back the next day as that was when Paul (the one who originally helped me) would be working. I called Paul the next day, and he said the order hadn’t come in yet, and it should be in next Thursday. I called back the following Thursday, and again no one has me in the system. I was completely confused about why this was happening. I asked to speak with Paul. He was working, but busy with a customer that day. He called me back the next day, and I told him how each time I called, no one could find me in the system. He then explained that somehow my order got deleted from the system. He advised that he would help me with the order if I come into the store. This was nice, but I was a bit annoyed as this is my vacation home and about a two-​hour drive. I no longer had the measurements since I placed the order. I explained this to him and he said he could wait. It was now the getting close to mid December and my sister was coming for the holiday. I told him I didn’t have time to take measurements again until after the new year. He said that was okay, and there were no issues thus far. I was happy to see their great customer service and planned to write a positive review on Unilocal and other consumer sites.
I came into the store on 1÷23÷11 and talked to Paul. He said his manager, Luis Guerra, was very unhappy about the discount having been open so long and closed it. I got Luis’ card and gave him a call the next day. I don’t know how Luis ever got to be a store manager. He basically said I didn’t ever want to purchase the paint, and the best he could do was 30%. I double checked to make sure he knew our order was deleted from the system, which was clearly not our fault. He claimed that our order was in their system and that it was there the entire time. How could this be if no one but Paul knew about this order each time I called? Why would Paul tell me that my order was accidentally deleted and work with me on the time frame while I took measurements on my house? Luis was not only unhelpful, but basically accused me of lying after causing so much trouble. I basically wanted to see if I could resolve this at the store level before calling corporate, but now he has left me with no choice.

We’ve just remodeled and were desperate to paint over the awful Kelly Moore paint that was on our walls. It was terrible paint — very bad coverage, wouldn’t clean up and it chipped off at every bump to the wall.
So after some research we repainted every room in our house with Sherwin-​Williams paint. EXCELLENT PAINT. The MV location has ample parking, their staff is very helpful and they have flexible hours (even Sunday). Plus, we went into the store about 6 differnt times during the remodeling process and each time they had a new sale on!!!
Their paint provided complete coverage that’s very exact to the color samples they provide you. They also have a *free* online color visualizer that helps you to «see» what rooms look like painted in different colors. VERY COOL STUFF TO PLAY WITH IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PAINTING.
BTW, this was the first paint we’d used that smelled… well…almost good enough to eat! Honestly, it smelled nothing like paint… almost yummy.

We got zero VOC (volitile organic compound) paint at this location and I can’t have been happier. The service was great and the paint didn’t leave that awful smell. I would absolutely buy from here again.
