The owner, Greg, is very friendly and laid back. He has a great passion for this place. Loves the work, but he is ready to retire. You wouldn’t know it by how well he maintains the place. He has put the place up for sell. I hope, like I know many do, that someone just as passionate and caring will buy the tree house and keep it available for nightly stays. Staying here was a highlight of our trip. The living space is warm and inviting. It’s a wide open space, which can be called a studio apartment. The bathroom is a good size and lovely. Some might say the«living room» is a tight area, but there’s room to flow out onto the semi-wraparound porches. Loads of windows with a translucent roof so you can look at the stars at night. The Banyan tree gives great shade during the day, too. Wonderful full kitchen with relatively newer appliances. Great cabinetry, which I understand Greg, with guidance from an architect, designed. In fact, Greg designed the entire place. The area is less traveled, and that’s part of the charm. There is at least one good restaurant nearby. I don’t see why someone wouldn’t ask to rent this place out for good. But those of us who have stayed here for a day or so feel privileged. I wish we could have stayed longer! But we needed to continue on around The Big Island. So I hope for those to come, it’s still available for overnight stays, once the tree house has been sold to new owners. Thanks for sharing your fanciful haven, Greg!
