I hate to do this, mainly because I worked here for a bout 2 years out of college back in 2008, but it’s just not the same. Yes, change is good, but not when it isn’t change for the better. When I was here, the standards for both service and appearance were so high, but the few times I have been here recently have been pretty terrible. My most recent visit was to get a Mango Black Tea Lemonade. Only one guy in front of me in line, no problem right? He ordered two frappucinos. There were two young ladies working. While I was waiting for my drink, the barista finished up making her venti frap and proceeded to take a few sips out of it before returning to make the drinks the customers that were waiting. The two of them also seemed to be talking badly about a co-worker. NOT a good look. It took about 8 minutes for me to get my drink which, to me, is way too long, especially when there are only 2 drinks ahead of mine and both were fraps. Easy, while the fraps are blending, shake my tea. I understand that giving it to the customers out of order is generally looked down upon(or atleast, used to be), but you can have it prepared. My visit before this was also not pleasant. I ordered an Iced Venti Chai with an add shot. I get my drink, doesn’t take too long, but wasn’t quick either. I walk to my car, take a sip and it taste horrible! I take it back in to tell the barista that it doesn’t taste anything like chai and it way too dark in color. Her way to solve the problem was to add more chai. I taste it again and it is worse! She pumps the chai into a cup and smells it and says, that’s chai. I asked her if I could smell it. I took a wiff and immediately recognized it as the coffee base for the fraps… which, you may or may not know, is quite bitter/sour/strong flavored when not in a frap drink. She then proceeds to blame someone for labeling the container wrong. Both times, my name was not written on the cup… another standard that was a requirement when I worked here. My last gripe is about the apperance of the baristas. When I worked here, it was quite strict on what you were allowed to wear. Black or khaki pants, black collared shirt, tucked in. No jeans, sweats, leggings etc. Hair tightly kept out your face. No dangly earrings. No nail polish or fake nails. It is very evident that these standards are no longer a requiement and it just makes me wonder what happened to the management here. David was the manager while I worked here and he did a great job and keeping the staff motivated while adhering to the Starbucks standards. Doesn’t look like the manager now does the same. I will say that I am happy to see Jimmy still working here and he is always a joy to see and catch up with, if I have the time. Too bad… I loved working here and I am sad to see it is no longer the Starbucks I was a part of.

Take time to learn Spanish and buddy-up to the female barista if you want free drinks and to skip ahead of other customers in line. The poor customer service to those who happen to be in line ahead of these Spanish-speaking regulars makes me believe the barista is maleducada, and translates to an unfriendly environment.

I would give this location more stars(seeing that it is the main location I go to) however, the new manager(I believe her name is Amber?) is absolutely terrible. If I ever go to this location when she is working I will gladly take my business to the Starbucks inside of Safeway simply to avoid any more unpleasant interactions with her. On multiple occasions I have been in the store with other costumers having issues with her as well. She has been rude EVERYTIME. I’ve even heard costumers asking her to speak with the manager because of her attitude problem which is how I learned that she(sadly) is the manager. I only wish I had known that on the day she gave a ridiculous amount of attitude for my simply bringing up an empty carafe from the condiment bar and politely asking her if when she got a chance she could refill it. I like everything else about this location, but with how unpleasant she is as the manager I cannot. I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 because of the help I received since. I was contacted by Maria from costumer service who not only apologized for the managers actions(stating that her actions are not at all something Starbucks stands behind, which I had known and is why I wrote the review) and did what she could to make it up to me. She was prompt, professional, and caring. Very pleased with Starbucks as a whole.

It’s along my way to class, and when I have an extra 5 minutes and still feel groggy I grab a coffee(iced or hot, depending on the day) before heading to class. I usually arrive between 8:05 — 8:15 in the morning, easily find parking, and never have to wait more than 5 minutes to order and get my coffee. I haven’t ordered anything other than black coffee though, so can’t comment on the baristas’ abilities in making more complicated drinks.

Nice relatively new store. The store is long and narrow, making it a little awkward. The set up inside the store is odd, but it works. As for the drinks/food… it’s Starbucks, so you probably already know.

This to me is the teenager’s Starbucks. The baristas are most likely kids from the surrounding schools and then the clientele is usually high school students as well. I haven’t really liked a drink here and I’ve been here a few times. I’d honestly rather go into the Safeway one if I’m by that area. The best Starbucks around this area is the new one by grant and el camino. They always make my drink so good and have great customer service. I feel like this location is inconsistent with the drinks and always makes my frapps super watery and shaken sweetened passion tea bitter. The customer service is kind of bleh and distracted, but it’s okay, I feel like it may be first jobs for some.

I’m not a big fan of Starbucks coffee as is, but this is about two minutes from my house so I give it a try once and a while. The barista I’ve had twice is incredibly rude, he spends most of his time talking with regulars not making drinks. he actually skipped my drink and made theirs first. I also asked for a vanilla latte with only 1 pump of sweetener and he misread it as 7 pumps of sweetener, when I told him it was supposed to be 1 pump he argues with me that it looks like 7 on the cup(who would really want 7 pumps of sweetener in a coffee?) when I finally received my drink with no apologies and scoffing attitude it was up to normal subpar Starbucks quality. And God forbid if you ever make the mistake of going there before saint Francis starts or before it gets out. I waited a good 15 minutes for a small coffee while surrounded by loud high schoolers waiting for their frappacinos. you’re better off going to the Starbucks at rancho shopping center or the peets on Castro, much better for quick coffee

Some guy was frustrated that I didn’t like a cold cookie I asked for warm. I asked for it warm and it became a big deal. The guy making the drinks(different guy) made me a really bland, terrible tasting drink. I was too embarrassed to ask him to re-make the drink though it was awful. The woman cleaning up behind the counter had a staring problem, and was extremely rude to be starring in the first place as hardcore as she was, and at her age, you hope people mature by middle age. Probably won’t be coming back here, not that these people want me to… which is always a weird feeling to have distinctly in a business. No one was there. People who buy coffee from here have problems too. Do it right– or if it’s not right, simply figure it out on my time with a decent attitude. Could be useful for you in the future. Or if you just don’t care, work at an establishment that charges less.

You gotta love starbucks — it’s so consistent you know what to expect. From the standard menu to big windows with lots of light, plenty of tables, chairs and outlets to charge, music at the right level, it is very conducive to meeting all the various needs of a coffeehouse. I got a chai latte and a tomato savory square(love those!) and they tasted just like my usual starbucks and came out pretty quick and warm. I set up my laptop and before I started working, I thought I would give starbucks a shout out. They are doing the $ 2 treat receipts again so be sure to get your receipt so you can come back in the afternoon and get a drink for $ 2. First time at this location but if I’m in the area, I’ll surely come back!

Lines in the morning are long and parking isn’t too good. But the staff is friendly and the order came out quick.

Not a fan of this location. Small, slow and annoying. Other Starbucks, or other coffee places, nearby are better choices.

Starbucks of Mountain View, CA94041 is a great place to go for a coffee experience. Many of the workers here are friendly, and this location is designed very well. There are a few high tables in the front entrance area for a more secluded experience, while the back area offers more traditional seating. Plus, there are a few patio seats just out front. This Starbucks is right near Subway, and there’s lots of parking. Note: No health hazards/violations were noted at this location.

Need a boost this morning. What’s not to love about Starbucks? This place in particular houses a clover machine which greatly enhances the flavor and taste of the coffee of your choice. You also get more for your money. Not to mention the wonderful staff who knows and remembers exactly how I like my coffee. Who doesn’t appreciate amazing customer service? This spot does get pretty busy however the speedy baristas have no problem keeping up with the pace.

Key Points: 1. There is also a Starbucks inside Safeway. But, there really is a need for both of them. Because of it’s location near St. Francis, this Starbucks is super crowded in the morning. There is always a long line. It seems the baristas at the Rancho location are faster(in general… yes this is a sweeping statement) than the ones here. 2. The location is decently large with a cluster of seating in the back. They have a few tables outside, but not close to the number of the Rancho or Downtown locations. 3. For a neighborhood store, this one is open fairly late! 4. It’s a Starbucks.

Small sorta hard to find location in the corner of a plaza but it’s your typical Starbucks. I was really impressed when the cashier asked me if my name was spelled with an H or without — usually people just(wrongly) assume there isn’t and spell my name as «Ester» *shudder*. Anyways, that’s beside the point. Though I was impressed by their consideration of name spelling, I am not sure they really know what«light ice» means — when I got my iced tea the cup was half-full of ice again. –__–

BEWARE. Three major issues with this location: 1. The motherf#$@ing«jogging club». A group of 15 – 20 middle agers who allegedly jog(I can’t see the evidence based on how they look) then meet up for coffee, just about every morning. Invariably they: 1) take every single table; 2) send one person up to order drinks for all of them; 3) constantly diddle with the order, changing and adding drinks. You will wait ages to get service. 2. The endless line of teenagers on weekday mornings having a venti milkshake for breakfast. 3. The el camino hospital nurse ordering 20 different crazy drinks(e.g. 170 degree sugar free pumpkin spice latte, dry) for coworkers. Actually i don’t mind this one too much, since i give props to medical care workers. BUTTHEFIRSTTWOREALLYSUCK.

I found this Starbucks a week ago, tucked away in a shopping center at Cuesta and Miramonte in Mountain View. Ironically, there’s another Starbucks in the Safeway here. Oh Starbucks… I find most Starbucks to be… the same. Which can be very good when you need a caffeine rush. I brought a book here, and chilled here for a few minutes before going to work yesterday morning. A few minutes turned into half an hour. My tall iced mocha and a window view were the relaxation that I needed before heading to work. I also got excited here because I finally took a Unilocal business photo, and this Starbucks on Unilocal has my photo for its primary photo as of now! Woohoo!
