My husband and I love living in Villa De Wright! The people are wonderful, the staff amazing and the rent is below market. We often have neighbors over for dinner or grill together at the new outdoor grill. The location of the apartments is within walking distance to Safeway and Castro Street, so you are never far away from anything you might need. Shoreline park is close by and provides a wonderful opportunity for outdoor recreational. One of the best things about Villa De Wright is the property manager Bruce and his assistant Ivan. Issues are resolved within hours and emails within minutes. Recently, we asked Bruce to stop in to make sure we turned the oven off around 10pm on a Friday night. He followed up our text within 30 minutes and let us know that everything was okay. I’ve lived in about 11 different apartment complexes, and this is by far the best! The only trouble is they go fast when units become available.

I lived here for more than 3 year. This is an OK place. Pros: nice neighborhood. It felt very safe, and never had any security concerns. Close to Safeway, which is convenient. Cons: The houses are pretty old, and a lot of things went out of order when I lived here, light bulbs, doors locks, etc. If you live on the first floor, be careful about ants in the summer. I had lot of ants in my apartment twice, which is awful. Also it seems that there is a crack on my wall and developing, at the same time I cannot lock my door because the latch won’t go in because of the crack developed on the wall, but all the maintenance they did was to cover the crack with paint and cut a layer off the top of the door so it would close. Shared washer and dryer still uses coins, which is a pain.

My fiancé and I have enjoyed living at Villa de Wright for a year. There are many wonderful things about living in this complex: the beautiful garden clean pool and grounds clean laundry room helpful staff relatively low rent for the area and what you get great location — right near castro st. and a safeway! great layout for the apartment, windows on multiple sides of the apartment which helps with ventilation you really don’t need air conditioning dish washer large bathroom lots of closets thick walls pet friendly huge kitchen! amazing location: close to Castro Street and Safeway I suppose the only negative I can think of are that it is an old building, so the plumbing isn’t wonderful(toilet gets clogged easily), but the shower still has plenty of water pressure. We felt very welcome in this complex too. When we moved in, we received a welcome package with a few towels and toilet paper and some decorative curtains. It was very sweet! If you want to move here, you will need to rush. Whenever an apartment opens up, there is a mad rush to get it. The way we were able to secure this one was by coming before the open house started with all of the paper work already filled out.
