We went here the other night. This is your average town bar. Nothing special that really distinguishes it from the rest. Had there been something that stood out such as specials, decorations, or new bar event/​activities it would have been a 4 or 5 star. However, we enjoyed the karaōke and restaurant style booth. I would recommend this place.

This place is alright. They have a good beer selection, pool, a jukebox, some games and food. The food is your usual bar food: greasy, deep fried and tasty. Just don’t make a habit of it, if you know what’s good for you.
What really put me off is the bartender I had one day. I went in, ordered food and was waiting for it when the door opened and I could hear a group of people come in. The bartender looked up, and said to the cook, «Damn it, there are like fifteen people here!» She started acting snotty and very put off, repeated herself to the cook with various combinations of profanities and then went the table of only six people and took their order. One of the first things about customer service, lady, don’t talk bad about customers in front of your customers. But don’t worry, I won’t be bothering you any more.

We always have a good time when we go to the Getaway and my friends LOVE to sing and really sing well! Dena is the karaōke host who is just the best! She has a way of making it more fun because she knows how to be fair, upbeat and supportive and who can keep the party going all the while being a part of our party! We love her! And she does a great job! Can’t wait til next time! :)

Nice little neighborhood bar. Pool tables, darts, Golden Tee. Decent beer selections and a massive amount of TV’s to watch sporting events. Excellent service to boot and prices good! Definitely a fun place to hang out!

I always have an awesome time when I come here!!! The environment is really comfortable and the service is excellent. The bartenders are all friendly and efficient. There are 2 pool tables and karaōke (with an awesome hostess BTW) from Wednesday thru Saturday.

I cannot believe this place has 4 stars. We went there last night based on this rating. As soon as we pulled into the back parking lot we saw a man urinating by the dumpsters. Not more than 10 minutes later that same man was serving up food to the customers inside! I was absolutely mortified. I would definitely not recommend this place.

I LOVE THIS BAR!!! This is my new hang out. I love the staff, I love the people. This place is just awesome. I now come here on Tuesdays, my ONLY day off a week and I just LOVE it. Music is always good. The bartenders are always friendly. Ive met some pretty interesting people here.

The Getaway is your typical neighborhood dive bar that happens to have pretty decent food.
You have your typical setup of pool tables, darts, and Golden Tee. Tons of pull tabs too if that’s your jam. Normal beer selection with a couple rotating taps of NW brew, and drinks are neighborhood/​dive bar cheap too, so you cant go wrong there.
Food selection is typical bar fare, but is quite good to be honest, their cook (s) does an excellent job.
They also have a lot of TV’s of varying sizes around the place and are always showing the big sports games. If they dont have what you want already on, they’ll throw it on the nearest screen to your seat.
Overall, a nice neighborhood divey bar that’s an awesome spot for a drink after a long day or for the next big game.

I just went here for the first time and was very glad I did! There’s karaōke, cheap drinks, and a fun crowd. There are also booths, which I always like in a bar. This will be my go to bar in MLT from now on!

The Getaway is like a fine wine. It gets better with age. You know, I’ve been to a few bars in my day, and hey, some of them have been great, some of them not so great. This place falls right in between. It’s just kind of your average bar to go hang out at when you want a drink. I don’t really love the place, in fact I don’t really like it at all. That’s why I’m giving it 5 stars.

This place isn’t close to my regular haunts but we came up to watch the game with my sister and her guy, close to their place. I wasn’t sure what I may find up North but I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clam and well run. it’s organized and the patrons are respectful and well-​mannered. They have good drinks, good beer, good pub food and free coffee.
Besides TVs all over the place, they also offer pool tables if you feel like moving around a little bit. Good times!:

I have come here three or four times in the eight years I’ve lived in Mountlake Terrace. They serve good basic pub fair and offer specials two nights a week Tacos two for a buck on Thursday and Steak dinner special on Tuesday. Good selection of beers and spirits to quench your thirst.
There are pool tables and darts for entertainment as well as some video games. A few televisions are scattered about for watching sports programming. Overall a good neighborhood bar.
The bar area would draw more interest if they replaced the pull tab tanks with flat screens for viewing sports.

Awesome — provided you know what you’re getting. Has all the dive bar ambiance you would want, with pool tables televisions — my wife and I call it our own version of «The Winchester» from Shaun of the Dead. Manager and staff has always been, friendly, recognizes us, etc. Great deals like $ 5 steak night for meeting a friend after work. BEST thing? Karaōke. It’s weird but this place brings in people with real talent and great voices. Only once a night is there a bad (or over-​inebriated) singer that ought to get off the stage. Great neighborhood bar.

Since I don’t drink, and don’t really go to bars all that often, I’m going to give this place a great rating. The atmosphere was fun, and all the patrons as well as staff were very friendly and fun-​loving. This was our second stop after our wedding ceremony, and it was karaōke night. I always love watching people get up and sing, whether they are good or bad. The crowd was super enthusiastic and supportive of everyone who sang, and all were having a great time! My diet coke was perfectly fizzy, which can be hard to get at a bar. We would definitely go again and try the food!

Stopped going. It was too much like a high school clique in there. Everyone knew everyone and apparently had been sitting there since 10 am (that is, if they ever went home). I got kinda irritated when they started a beer coaster war across the whole bar. I guess I’m not much of a fan of the sport since I don’t like to be repeatedly nailed in the head by flying cardboard. When I made mention of my lack of enjoyment the bar keep/​dishwasher got mad at ME! I’m talking scary mad!
That’s OK. There are lots of other places that are Flying Object free

Never going back, unless I want to get cancer. The place reeked of cigarette smoke, we told the bar tender and they didn’t care. The woman said, «what you want me to do about it». Really? Really? Wow! One thing this place got right was their name. I wanted to get as far away from there as possible. We cut the party short and ran for the hills.

Remember that uncle you had that was always drunk, smelled like stale beer and always made you sit on his lap and kiss him on the lips? There is a good chance he drinks at this bar. With that said, this is a neighborhood bar where you will find the same people night after night, the staff is friendly and the drinks are as stiff as a porn star being fluffed before his next big performance.
They have karaōke Thurs-​Sun and the host is friendly and makes everybody feel at home
If you plan on taking a woman home from here, take advantage of the great condom selection in the bathrooms. You will need it and that 50 cents may prevent lots of red bumps, itching and swollen genitals
