I love that we have such a good teriyaki place near home. The food is yummy, the owners are very friendly, and the place is exceptionally clean. I highly recommend it.

i still get lunch to go here a couple times a month. Food still not disappointing. Staff friendly too. They know us now when we call in and pick up our order.

Cheap and cheerful, as my boyfriend says. Portions are substantial and the teriyaki has the nice crisp ends that I love. The furniture is a bit dated and worn, buy I don’t expect luxury from a cheap and cheerful teriyaki place, just great teriyaki when the craving hits. Mission accomplished.

I’m not sure what happened. I think there are new owners. The food isn’t even close to what it used to be. Not a fan anymore.

I am so glad I have finally given this place a try! In the Seattle area, we are fortunate to have a plethora of teriyaki places to choose from compared to other regions of the U.S. As we all know, sadly, not all are created equal however. Each teriyaki place varies when it comes to the following: 1) quality of service 2) wait time 3) type of salads and dressings offered 4) quality of meat 5) type of sauce marinated with the meat, which is usually also provided in small container alongside the teriyaki meal 6) cleanliness of the inside 7) other items offered inside the establishment(e.g. self-serve soup and drinks). This place however rises far and above other teriyaki joints I have tried in the area recently based on all the aforementioned distinguishing factors. The inside is very clean and the owners are very friendly. Having now been here multiple times, my dining companion and I have enjoyed their teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef every single visit. We have also tried their gyoza which is pretty good. The food is prepared fairly quick(5 – 10 minutes after ordering). The sauce is perfect– more soy sauce based than sweet and doesn’t contain the plum sauce that some establishments use in the base of their teriyaki sauce base. I also like that they offer self serve tea and water inside. I highly recommend this place to any teriyaki fans residing in the Mountlake Terrace area.

I haven’t been here before the«new management» others are talking about. But I will say that I am a regular now. I usually hit this place up once every week after a weekly appointment of mine. The new owners are very nice! Great food! I’ve tried the chicken teriyaki, yakisoba and gyoza. Hands down the best dish is the spicy chicken and mushroom, if you like spicy. I usually eat there. They bring it out on a hot plate so that the food is sizzling. I love it!

By far the best teriyaki in the entire universe. I stumbled upon this place a couple of weeks ago and today I drove from Greenwood to Mountlake Terrace just to pay a visit! Welcoming, spotless, peaceful, warm, amazingly fresh and incredibly delicious. I will never have teriyaki anywhere else.

This place was great before they«spring cleaned» and opened up with new owners and management the prices went up the quality went down they took away the punch card they had alway had. Plus now when you want an order to go you have to ask for a fork, napkin, soy sauce, oh and the hot sauce will cost you use to be free I do not know if I will be coming back here anymore

Very fresh tasty ingredients. We had the vegetable shrimp stir fry which seamed light and healthy(not greasy at all) which is very important to me when looking for a place to feed my kids. Clean. A friendly welcoming staff. What more can you ask for. We’ll definitely be back

New owners, new recipes and prices. Still good food and excellent service. Still come here about once a week since it’s the best teriyaki joint in the area.

Hands down no doubt the best teriyaki in the area with the best service. Try the beef and chicken combo. I have gone there 5 times and they already know us and remember what we like.

Used to go here all the time for lunch. Went because of their very special interesting sauce and their frequent buys card. Found out they changed their sauce and no longer have the card. Yakisoba was crap which used to be my favorite item. Guess no more going here anymore.

I just moved into the neighborhood and knew I had to try this place. I read the reviews before coming, so I was hesitant. Upon entering I knew the reviews weren’t exactly on point. The décor was impressive for such a small place, and the woman working the counter was very warm and smiling. I felt comfortable which is great. We are there and got unlimited free tea and water. We were sitting for 5 minutes when our food arrived. I was shocked by how quickly the food arrived, and by how excellent the food was presented! I ordered the chicken teriyaki and the avocado roll. The food was amazing, and there was so much it! The prices are a bit higher than the average but you get a lot of food. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and will be returning soon!

I love the variety of food on their menu. This is my go-to place when I can’t think of anything to get. I especially enjoy the hot tea available as well. Not all teriyaki places offer that so I always consider it a bonus. The gyoza is perfect for sharing over two entrées if you’re grabbing something quick to eat. Fast and friendly service.

I went to Teriyaki Bowl for the first time yesterday and ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki for there. The woman I ordered from was friendly, respectful and polite. When the man brought my food out it was in a plastic bag and Styrofoam container. I was at one of the small round tables at the window without a view because the thick yellow banner of plates of food clearly was in the way. When I walked in there was only one man there who was talking loudly on the phone in a foreign language. The door to the restaurant was wide open and the entire restaurant smelled of smoke. I put the pieces together when I left and noticed people standing outside the casino a few doors down. I hate the smell of smoke while I eat(or any time) so next time if the door is open and people at the casino are smoking outside I will definitely take the order to go. The spicy chicken teriyaki was NOTSPICY at all. I wasn’t given a choice as to how spicy I wanted it and so next time I will just get regular teriyaki and squirt Sriracha over it, like I did yesterday. Why pay extra if it is not spicy? Drives me nuts teriyaki places that charge more for something that isn’t spicy!!! So why is it 4 stars? Well, customer service, friendliness, and loads of good chicken are where it’s at for me. Both the man and woman were very friendly in a genuine way, I thought. That’s got to count for something. They loaded me up with delicious, freshly grilled and tender chicken. There was lots of rice and a good portion of salad. I have to say that their miso salad dressing was not to my liking but I don’t choose teriyaki restaurants based on the salad dressing. Seriously, I couldn’t place the taste until I saw another review saying it was miso-based. They have complimentary water and hot tea. Large portions and friendly service. Thank you, and I look forward to trying out more menu items in the future.

Very good chicken, delicious terryaki sauce, and very good service. The fried items were a little over-cooked and not as tasty as the chicken. Also wish more sauce came with the order on takeout. But, overall, very good food at a very affordable price and large portions! A little difficult to understand the help as their English is poor; however, they are all very nice and, as mentioned before, great service and good food.

IMO this is the best teriyaki place in the neighborhood. Some of my favorites are the spicy chicken and the Mongolian beef. Yum! Always friendly and fast execution on your order. What more can you ask?

I’ve been coming here for years since it’s so close to me work and it’s the best Teriyaki I’ve found close to my work. As far as teriyaki goes, there’s nothing spectacular about this place other than it’s a great overall value, the food is good and predictable and the service is stellar. Of course she always knows exactly what I’m going to order as soon as I walk in. The katsu curry chicken is especially good on a cool grey drizzly NW day. It must be the Japanese version of comfort food.
