Currituck County Welcome Center

Mr. Clean invaded this little welcome center! I LOVE this welcome center and will not stop until I hit this little gem which is located just past the NC line. There’s plenty of parking and even an area to park if you are traveling with dogs.
They have walls and walls of brochures for dining, adventures, accommodations and even wine tastings. The desk offers free photo postcards of scenes from the OBX. There are also free luggage tags and free treat bags for your pups.
The restrooms are the cleanest that I have seen in a long time! I wish these types of stops existed along all the highways.

This place is exactly what their title entails, welcoming. Once we got across the state line we stopped here. With the way the county is set up we were actually staying in Currituck County, but had to take a nice little trip around to get to where we needed to be.
While here, we used the facilities and browsed everything that was here to see. Looking through the brochures, which they had plenty of, we got ideas of things to do if we wanted to. While looking at the items, the people that staffed this facility were really helpful with pointing out what activities we could do while here. That was a good thing, several of the activities that I had wanted to do weren’t available until later in the season. So thanks for saving me some wasted time traveling to places that wouldn’t be open.
