Great food. The guys that run this truck have a passion for creole. My husband and I both got the shrimp po boy and split an order of strawberries and cream beignets. All of it was amazing. Can’t wait to come back and try the crawfish étouffée.

Top of the line guys running this truck. Always hot and fresh. Plenty of food for the money. Shrimp Poboy’s are great, fries are seasoned.

Horrible and expensive. I wanted to love this place. They come frequently to where I work and I’ve tried a good portion of the menu. Every thing is over priced. A side of mac and cheese cost as much as an entrée at most food trucks. You get alot but most people don’t need that much. On top of that, they charge tax. For an entrée and a «side» you could go to a sit down restaurant and come out cheaper with better food. The food is greasy and bland. You will feel horrible after eating this. That nasty sauce they serve with everything could be replaced with cocktail or tartar sauce. Save your money and your stomach.

I had them at the First Flush Festival and loved! I had the Cajun shrimp and chips. We also got the duck fries. Splurge on the duck fries for sure! They are a HUGE portion so I’d either so that by itself or split with someone. I’m in love!

Disappointing. Tried the fish and chips. The fries were cold and just sprinkled with Cajun seasoning which made them really dry and uninspiring. I was told by someone working the truck that the fish was farmed. Farmed? We live on the Atlantic Ocean! That’s crazy! I didn’t understand why it was served with a pecan cornbread. It was a strange combination. My friends all tried different menu items and we all came to the same conclusion that very large portions do not make it more appealing.

Had the shrimp po boy and some creole fries. Gotta say the sandwich was really tasty and the fries had some great seasoning on them. The price was right and the food was tasty, looking forward to trying some other items when they return! Everyone at work liked what they had, and people who brought their lunch had food envy.

I had the muffuletta at Carolina Creole for lunch today and maaaan was it tasty! The giant sandwich came on a small bed of lettuce with some tomato and a side of fries. I’ve been thinking about making some muffuletta recently and this really hit the spot, it was probably the best muffuletta I’ve had outside of NoLa. If you see this Carolina Creole crew at an event or parking lot near you, I highly suggest checking them out.

Carolina Creole is one of my favorite places for a quick lunch on Fridays. Their location at the Zoo in Mount Pleasant frequently has a line, but is so worth it! LOVE the Cheese fries topped with a seafood gumbo and the Shrimp PoBoy… YUM!

Attended a food truck rally on my last visit and loved the idea of getting beignets to go… of course after trying them, disappointment set in:-(…not sure about the other food but the beignets could use some work.

Charleston’s food truck scene is gaining massive popularity this year and Carolina Creole is definitely one of its shining stars. I was first exposed to food trucks when I attended a food truck rodeo on my brother’s recommendation. Overall I was experiencing delicious foods and friendly food truck owners. It was fun and I am a fan of good food and new options to try. Carolina Creole wasn’t at the first food truck rodeo I attended but they have quickly become one of my favorite trucks. I CRAVE their food and it has yet to disappoint. The first time I ate at Carolina Creole, I had the red beans over rice and cornbread. It was EXCELLENT and that cornbread is like crack… so, so good! My friend had ordered the crispy fish po’boy and gave me a couple of bites. I tell no lies when I say I went to bed that night with my mind on that dang po’boy. The next time I ate at Carolina Creole, I HAD to order the fish po’boy but instead of fries I asked if I could substitute for their pecan cornbread(aka crack cornbread) and they were more than happy to accommodate. This past Thursday I was able to indulge in my Carolina Creole fix and decided to try their black bean soup with pepperjack sauce(if I’m remember correctly) and gator bites. Soooo good! That black bean soup was so filling, so flavorful AND came with a piece of my beloved cornbread! And the gator bites… oh those gator bites… served with some lime jalapeño mayo and served over lightly dressed greens and small tomato slices. Like the fish po’boy I had early on, those gator bites are on my mind. Last reason Carolina Creole earns 5 stars… customer service. Jeff and his girlfriend/business partner Leah are so friendly and inviting that it is obvious their food is made and served with love. I cannot recommend Carolina Creole more and even more so, I suggest you do yourself a favor and check out any of Charleston’s food trucks. 90% of the food I’ve tried has been EXCELLENT!(To name a few others I’ve tried: Hello My Name is BBQ, Pot Kettle Black, Diggity Doughnuts, Tokyo Crepes & Geechee Island).
