La Quinta Inn & Suites Mt. Pleasant

Wow! We had a great stay… a much needed… relaxing…quiet break. The pool was clean, the spa was hot and the towels were plentiful. Our room was very clean and large… the bed was comfy and we had plenty of pillows. When our TV did not work properly, even though it was late, a maintenance man came right up and fixed it. We could have been happier with our stay… the rate was quite affordable as well.

I stay in hotels about 3 weeks out of every month. This stay was personal for a wedding where most of those who traveled in also stayed here. I would not recommend this property based on service:
*Upon walking into the lobby, we encountered a line of 3 parties who was waiting. The first person said he’d been waiting there for 10 minutes. There was no one at the counter, in the office or anywhere in the lobby. Eventually a young man came over and apologized due to having to take towels to a guest. *4 hours later when we opened the fold up couch there was a curly short hair (yes, one of those) in the middle of the sheet. We called down to ask for someone to change the bedding. We were told that he was still the only employee in the building and: «I don’t know how to change it but I can bring the bedding to you.» When he brought it we asked why management left him to a full hotel when a wedding party was there & he said he didn’t know and apologized.
*Others in the wedding party had similar experiences where housekeeping took dirty towels but didn’t replace them with clean towels & when they called down they were told towels were having to be washed because they didn’t have any clean ones. They checked back in about 2 hours later & still no clean towels. Later they went down and retrieved them themselves because no one ever brought any.
I will say a positive is that it is a nice property, but dirty carpets & water leaks are going to make it not so nice over time if it’s not taken care of.

Very surprised! Super clean and inviting. Room was very nice and quite. Breakfast was great– just the right amount of selections for the entire family. The Texas shaped waffles were a hit!

My wife and I stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Mount Pleasant, TX. We stay at La Quinta frequently when we travel because of the size of their rooms and their pet policy. This time Gabriel Datan went above and beyond. We left a hanging bag full of clothes in the closet and by the time they found it we were 100+ miles down the road. Gabriel, on his own time, took the clothes to a shipping center and arranged to send them to our home. Great customer service!

My husband and I were in mt pleasant on business and decided to stay here from the reviews we seen in Unilocal.Needless to say glad we did. The service was awesome, rooms really clean, and the rate was just right. Best part they are pet friendly. Our 3 lb teacup yorkie, Daisy, was welcomed. The hot coffee and delicious waffle was a nice treat in the morning as well. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is new and very clean but did not make up for the lack of POOR MANAGEMENT and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
We live in the area and rented the room so our kids could swim while it is cold. When we went to use the pool there where 27 kids and three adults in the Pool Area. It was very apparent that the kids where not staying in the hotel rather that the two young employees had let friends in. The pool was at a max 4 ft deep and there where kids flipping and diving into the pool. When we first approached the front desk about the amount of kids, he kinda looked frazzled and said that some people had asked to have parties but hadn’t paid for the area and it had got a little out of hand, but they where going to handle it. Then as we walked by the Exercise room there where three small children, one that could not be any older than 4 playing on the equipment in their wet swimsuits. At this time i took a picture and made the other boy from the front desk come over with me as i pointed the kids out and told them that was not safe. That boy then on several occasions after that lied to my mothe-​rin-​law and my face saying that the small boy told him he was 14.
AFTER the pool closed a small army then moved to the Second Floor and from 10pm to 2AM
they stomped and slammed and ran not only above our heads but up and down the halls on the second floor because while i was complaining to the manager that was called in i could still hear the stomping. After complaining multiple times i gave up.
Also –We also set a pizza on the counter and within a couple hours it was covered in ants.

Nice clean hotel. Accepts pets! Very good breakfast included.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We loved having the microwave and mini fridge in the room.
I liked the bedding. The first thing I normally do when I walk into a hotel is strip the nasty bedspread off the bed. That was NOT required here. They do not have a normal bed spread. It was wonderful and it was so much cleaner and more sanitary the way the bedding is handled. I was impressed.
The bed was a little soft in my opinion and a lot soft in my husbands opinion.
There is a transition strip going into the bathroom that we stumped our toes on but other than that we were very impressed and will stay again.
Recommend this hotel.

This place is great. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great beds, restaurants nearby. Not much more to say other than if you need lodging in this location, you will be pleased.

Great La Quinta, quick check in, our room was ready and the staff were friendly. I needed a late checkout on a Saturday and they were accommodating. Hotel has good décor and nice TVs. I would return if I needed a place to stay in Mount Pleasant again. I can’t imagine there is a nicer hotel here.

We only stay at La Quintas when on the road because they allow dogs and they’ve always been friendly to us and our pooch. This location is new and everything about it screams 4star luxury. The hardwood floors, décor, indoor pool and jacuzzi, the beds are SO soft. The venetian beds in Las Vegas are the most comfortable ever but these beds were a close 2^nd. They give free wireless Internet, free breakfast buffet (excellent), free newpapers, bath towels were soft. The grounds are clean (no dog poop — take note less than conscientious dog people)
The staff at the location were GREAT, from check-​in to needing more syrup for waffles staff members.
I hope all La quintas become more like this one.

This place was great. I have never stayed in a La Quinta and figured it was just run-​of-​the-​mill but this place is new, they have carts to load your luggage, really fine rooms with nice, new furniture, and the clerk even called up to see if everything was ok upon check-​in. Highly recommended.
