I agree with the reviews of Mary Locke and Wendy F. below. I’ve found that the merchandise seems very«picked over» here. I have found some pretty good deals on random beauty products, but that section itself is very small. The Nordstrom Rack website obviously has a larger, and therefore better selection than this store, but the $ 7 shipping(often slow!!) per purchase is a hard blow. It is convenient to be able to return purchases at the store in Mt. Pleasant, though. I’d rather just have Nordstrom here! Their quality and customer service cannot be beaten.

I’m a huge fan of finding great deals, so places like the Rack are my weakness. You have to be in the mood though to bargain shop, because usually things are sort of a mess. That is not the case at this newly opened Rack. I used to manage a clothing store so I tend to notice a lot of things other people might not. I couldn’t believe how well organized the racks were, things were correctly sized, the rounders weren’t over crowded, and everything was very neat and tidy. The employees were very friendly even the ones who stocking the merchandise and tagging the new markdowns. This store manager deserves a big BRAVO!!! On top of that I found exactly what I was looking for. This store gets a big A++!

Finally a great department store in Charleston. They have a great selection of designer brands and great pricing. Constantly getting in new merchandise. So hard to go into this store and leave empty handed. Love that they also have on site alterations– perfect for the designer denim that’s too long! The alterations were perfect, quick and inexpensive. I’ll be shopping here often!

First of all, I really love Nordstrom. Actually I used to work there. Their clothing selection is Four Stars and their customer service is Five Stars bar none best in the industry. And then there’s the red headed stepchild Nordstrom Rack. Yeah, I get it. Nordstrom Rack is a discount store. My issue with it(and Saks Off Fifth and Neiman Marcus Last Call) is that is sells a bunch of crap that you would never find in a real Nordstrom and more importantly it’s not even that cheap. Sure you can find a great bargain in here(I’ve scored a Theory suit for 75% off at one before), but most of the stuff is junk. If you’re on the market for a Michael Kors logo bag, then you’re in luck. Truth be told you can do a whole lot better at a real Nordstrom semi-annual sale. Also, the employees have certainly not attended the hours of customer service training that the real store provides. Thus, your Nordstrom Rack experience is lacking the Five Star service you have come to expect. If you like the«hunt» of TJ Maxx and Marshalls, then you will probably like Nordstrom Rack as well. If you’re a real Nordstrom devotee and go expecting the trademark piano player experience, then you’re in for a disappointment.

As a frequent Rack shopper(there is a 4-story Nordstrom with a Rack in the basement combo in Towson, Baltimore), I knew not to go to the new Bowman Place store thinking I would find what I was looking for — basically, anything somewhat age appropriate for me(read: basic black and random well priced ‘designer’ pieces) to enhance my pitiful wardrobe and dressy casual attire for my hub. After a quick sweep of the entire selling floor(my MO), I zeroed in on a cute, really cheap pair of black and white wide-legged and very comfy pants … perfect for those Lowcountry happy hours and several active wear pieces for my hub. I really liked the clean dressing rooms and fast and easy checkout as the fitting room attendant had a square. I’m putting the Rack on my weekly rotation …

Checked this place out yesterday & was very pleasantly surprised. Finally a great selection for those of us that have Amazon Feet… Size 11’s & no they are not granny shoes. They have the best selection of shoes in my size that I have ever seen. Loved the whole experience.

Crazy excited that there is now a Nordstrom Rack in Charleston! No one shops at Sears, unless you need discount baby clothes, Belks – come on(unless you wear Lilly Pulitizer). Is Dillards still even open? I think people get prom dresses there or something, and J.C. Penny? If Sephora wasnt a part of JCP, then JCP would also be a wasteland. Thank goodness Nordstrom Rack is here! Located in brand spanking new Bowman Place, Nordstrom is home along with Dick’s, DSW, and I believe a kitchen utensil place will be opening up there soon. I am a regular of Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack when I travel, and the .com’s, and speaking from experience, the customer service – top shelf. Considering there are a plethora of places to get most name brands that Nordstrom Rack offers, its imperative to have outstanding customer service, and they deliver. That coupled with discounts on all of these name brands – they’ve got a customer for life. I have met all of the management team for this store, and what a team. They’re funny, friendly, helpful, and customer service professionals – awesome team. There was a pre-grand opening sale on Sept. 1, that was a whole lotta fun. Champagne, light beers, cupcakes, hors d’oeuvres, sales, tailors, shopping, shopping, shopping! A precursor to the amazing-ness that is too come. The icing on the cake for me is this store sells shoes above size 10. I have pretty large feet, and thanks to Nordstrom Rack, we can all rock designer shoes at a discount price! Welcome Nordie Rack! Oh how we needed you!
