I ordered the thursday special(pig on a platter) with no onions and our server Lori served our salads and waited about 20 minutes until our food was about to come out to tell me that it had onions in it and could not be served with«no onions». Not wanting to make the rest of my hungry group wait for our server to bring me back a menu and reorder I just said«fine, I don’t want to make a hassle» and ended up only eating the salad which was good, some bland mashed potatoes, and mediocre garlic aioli corn. After reopening it seems like smaller quantities without the food quality to back it up. Very disappointing as I used to love this place. Would not recommend.

We had spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and we think it is the best we’ve ever had. It came with warm parmesan pita chips which were yummy on their own. We had the steak sandwich and that was pretty good. It was a little pricey for lunch but we will return. A lot of things on the menu sound interesting so we will return to give them a try.

Excellent food and great environment. I love their wraps. Only downside is that it is a little pricey, so it isn’t somewhere I go all the time. But it is always a great treat!

Love the new décor! Although it is all hard surfaces and on a busy night — LOUD! Very good prices for delicious fare, large portions. A good value! I enjoyed a crab & asparagus cream soup with yummy chewy, crusty bread. My only complaint was ‘fake’ crab — but it was a lovely lemony flavor and the vegies were not reduced to mush. Tasty. Followed by the parmesan crusted tilapia with risotto. Excellent. Crispy, flavorful and the fish done perfectly. We declined dessert being too full, but I spied some yummy looking cheesecake pass by.

This place has a charm about it. I’ve been here 20x and never disappointed. Positive attitudes everywhere with big smiles and kind people. The owner remembers everyone and is always cordial and makes me laugh. The food is exceptional and consistent beyond belief. It really and feels like with cheers of Mukwonago. I will definitely be back soon

Not very good menu and the food didn’t impress me either. Not sure why they got rid of a lot of menu choices. Very disappointed as was my family. Probably won’t go back.

Between a 4 star and 5 star, it is truly a great find in an otherwise sparse area. Add quality food, great service, a very pleasant environment, and it is the perfect go to place. A giant step up from pub food and great for family, friends, or business lunch. Food is fresh and tasty and you shouldn’t be disappointed. I had the blackened fish tacos which were very good. For the type of place and location… It is easily a 5-star by comparison/location, and in this category; but I reserve those for a culinary uniqueness or flavor that calls you back again and again and it’s what you tell everyone about for the next five days. So, consider this a 5 for the area and visit — you’ll enjoy.

OK food(a little on the salty side), young and inexperienced staff but friendly, be prepared for a long wait on a Friday night: 45minutes to an hour or longer, now if they would just get on open table for reservations…

What a gem to find in a small town. I visited Mukwonago, from almost two hours south, to refill my Elegant Farmer supply. Searching for a lunch spot on Unilocal,Fork seemed intriguing so we dropped in. The interior was incredibly inviting as it was homey, but not over the top. Also, I like the framed photos of famous Wisconsin residents on the wall. Good conversation starter. Danielle, who is ridiculously pretty, was our server. I asked about free refills on the Arnold Palmers and she mentioned that they were free on iced tea and Arnold Palmers, but not the flavored teas or the lemonade. So I appreciated her honesty. We both got the all you can eat fried chicken special. First, we got plates with a piece of cornbread, cinnamon butter, and cole slaw. I didn’t like the slaw much, as I’m not a mayo fan. But the cornbread was so good, I willingly paid for an extra piece. And I would gladly buy a container of that cinnamon butter if I could have. We each got a half chicken. I liked the batter, it wasn’t too bready like some chickens can be. The skin was crispy and each piece was really juicy. I finished my plate and was absolutely finished. Also, the mashed potatoes were really good, they had a nice garlicky flavor to them. When I return to this part of Wisconsin, I’ll be sure to stop by again.

Tried to place a carry out order tonight… was told they no longer took orders over the phone. Had to come to the bar and order and sit and wait for the food. With two young kids who do not always do well in restaurants, this is the reason for a take out order. Ordering and waiting in the establishment kind of defeats the purpose, no? Is this a gimmick to get you to sit at the bar and order a couple drinks??? I’m so confused by this. Have ordered carry out over the phone in the past with no trouble and the food is always good… why the change? Lost business tonight.

Happy to be able to review now that they are reopened! Ate here several times when my parents lived in the area and I’ve been hoping for a reason to visit again! Heading home from MKE took us close by today. The restaurant looks great! The menu had so many wonderful choices it took us all a while to decide! Our meals were all delicious! Been dreaming of the house salad since my last visit and it was just as wonderful as I remembered it. A burger, tilapia, fried chicken and the big spud were devoured happily! Our waitress was very personable! We hope to be back soon!

Finally got back to Fork in the Road since it reopened. Went specifically for the Special Pig Roast on a Platter. The place looks great, is a bit brighter with better air circulation and as busy as ever. Two of us had the Special, one with a side salad with mixed greens, grapes, sweet walnuts and lime-mayo dressing, while the other had with of the day, a tex-Mex corn and chicken soup. The player consists of pulled pork roast, home made mashed potatoes with gravy and cob of parmesan aioli sweet corn. I’m not sure my son actually got mashed potatoes they were gone so fast. The other two ordered one of his vegetarian favorites, home made Mac & Cheese pumpkin soup. Final person ordered a burger, cooked perfectly to order and topped with onion strings. All very good as usual. Can’t wait to get there again for one of their fantastic salads.

It was about 1pm & I pulled up the map on my phone, searched food and this place came up. Read a couple reviews and thought we’d give it a try since we were only about 10 minutes away. I am so glad we stopped. It was one of the best meals that I have had in a long time. The hostess and waitresses were so nice. My water cup was refilled constantly without even having to ask(and I drink a lot of water). I asked about the soup of the day and when she told me pumpkin soup I said«ewww». She asked if I’d like to try it. She promptly returned with samples of both soups of the day. Oh my gosh! The pumpkin soup was so good. I have never had anything like it. Pumpkin, spices and a «little kick» added great flavor. I would come back just for that. I also had the portobello mushroom wrap and that was outstanding as well. My husband had the steak sandwich and he said it was very good too. Both meals were very filling. I will definitely be back as there are plenty of other things on the menu I would like to try. Might have to be a new«girls night» dinner stop. Thank you for having such pleasant employees. It was nice to see smiling/happy faces.

Besides this place being haunted(which is actually really cool), I have no complaints. All the food here is really really good. Especially the fish fry! We always love going to a place with so much history! I don’t know if it is open again yet, after the fire upstairs, but hopefully it will reopen and continue to serve delicious food!

This place is kind of a child hood staple ! The owners are super nice, friendly and remember everyone they meet ! For being located in a smaller town it has big city flavor. The ingredients are always fresh and they are constantly updating their menu to stay on the latest food tends. They do offer carry out as well If you need food on the go. In the summer they have a back yard patio or you can sit on the wrap around porch. For a starter I recommend the hand battered pickles(they keep them long and not cut into pieces). They also have my favorite French onion soup. For the salads I recommend the Greco-Italian salad. The salad comes with a parmesan-crusted poached egg and warm garlic pita bread, where else are you gonna find that seriously ?! They also have daily specials which are pretty amazing. One if my favorite specials is the Thursday pig roast on a platter for only 12.50! I also recommend their Bloody Mary, it’s pretty legit. If your ever around the Mukwonago area this should be your go to place ! Another fun fact: it may or may not be haunted …

Very nice place. When you walk in at the bar, you may think oh another Wis. bar & grill. Ahh, but no, the food is much more upscale. The restaurant is remodeled and has comfortable décor. Food can be quick burgers or something different, steak, soups, fish. Would recommend.

I love this place! I have been eating here for 6 – 7 years and they are always consistent with everything. Great food, drink, service and atmosphere. I have had numerous menu items and loved all of them. Tonight there were 6 of us having dinner for my Mom’s birthday. It was packed when we got there and were told that the wait for the table would be about 45 minutes, but that’s just fine because they have a great bar area, great drinks and bartenders. Once we sat for dinner, we all decided on different meals and were all really happy with all of the food. For as busy as it was, our server was friendly and attentive. We had food and drinks quickly and she checked on us. My mother was given a dessert to celebrate her birthday(homemade chocolate éclair torte) and it was awesome! And the owner sand out loud, which was an appreciated gesture. I highly recommend coming here. And if you do, make sure to order their Famous house salad! I will be back many more times.
