Visited Mukwonago, WI for the weekend, rented a house a block from Jay’s lanes. At 9PM on a Friday, went in with a group of 6 guys, was told by the staff they close at 9PM… on a Friday night. So we come back at noon on Saturday — place was closed — didn’t open until 3 pm — went in at 8PM that night — was told by staff the lanes were closed. I said to the bartender, can I give you some advice about your hours of operation and he said«I don’t want to hear it!!» — not sure how you stay in business when you are not open during peak hours. Unfriendly and never open. Forget this place.

$ 1.50 for a fountain soda — no refills. I’ve been to cheap places before, this guy takes the cake. When you are trying to buy soda for your kids to have fun at what is already an over priced establishment, the owners refusal to give refills is utter crap. A fountain soda costs the guy 10 cents. I’ve bowled here two years in a row and won’t be back. Care of customer service is non-existent by the owner of this place so don’t bother complaining. Go to the new bowling alley in Waterford, or shoot over to Waukesha where at least you can afford to buy your kids a few sodas(with FREE refills!) to make their bowling fun. If you are a competitive bowler go elsewhere — the lane conditions suck! They never oil the lanes and when they do the pattern is all over the place. The current owner inherited this place from his father who died and the current guy clearly doesn’t care as he didn’t build the business he simply took it over and milks it for all it is worth.

I’ve been in worse bowling alley’s. Place has the feel of ownership and management that don’t seem to care very much about customer service or creating a welcome. Lanes were nice. Once we found balls that would work we had a good time. $ 12 for an adult and 8 year old seems a bit expensive
