Great atmosphere, great service and great food. Liz was our server. She was awesome. I had the steak and lobster which was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed his bone in rib eye.

Food is good. However not kid friendly. This is the only restaurant that offers kids under 21 in the hotel. Very expensive as its a very nice resturant. For myself and my 10 year old to eat & have water to drink was just shy of $ 50. Staff was Very pleasant & the ambience was charming. Would we return? No!

5 p.m. 1.23.16== Steak and Lobster Wow to sum it up!!! What a great first time experience. The hostess and wait staff were more than awesome. They took the time to ensure that our group of 6 were well taken care of from the time we arrived. The meal and all sides were over the top and we will definitely be back. Please give the team KUDOS from Oklahoma.

Went to this place with a large group on a night only opened to us! The food was good and the service was very attentive. The salads we good and crisp. We were all served in a timely fashion. The main course filet mignon cooked mostly how I wanted it, with it only being slightly under cooked to my personal taste. I like my steaks medium it was closer to medium rare. Overall the food was good. The wait staff was very good! They also have a full bar which makes a nice drink. –Brent

Atmosphere and service was great! Food was also delicious. I had the 14oz ribeye steak with crème brûlée as dessert.

tl;dr Unacceptably slow service if you’re part of a gratuity table, mediocre cocktails, decent food. *** I battled between 2 or 3 stars for quite a while. I decided on 3 because overall the food was pretty tasty and the waitress was at least nice. I bet her favorite animal is the sloth though. ;o) — — — — — — — — — — — — — – I was part of a large group at the restaurant this past Saturday for my best friend’s birthday. I believe there were 11 of us in total. SERVICE: It was quickly apparent to us that, being an automatic gratuity table, the waitress was far less concerned with our table than the others in the restaurant. To say that service was slow is a gross understatement. To begin with, the waitress took drink orders for only half the table, then left. Once those drinks were served(5 – 10 minutes later) she took the drink orders for the rest of the table. The guy across from me actually had to wait 40 minutes and remind the waitress three times before receiving his iced tea. She was nice enough but not really apologetic about being so inadequate. My husband and I had ordered cocktails with our appetizers but because they were so slow to arrive we decided not to order wine for dinner. I didn’t want to risk not getting my wine before I was done with my steak. I decided just to avoid any disappointment. At that point we also decided that if she was getting gratuity she didn’t deserve, we were going to skip extra expenses(wine, dessert) to keep her tip as low as we could. DRINKS: Stick to wine, their cocktails are watered down(or at least my Old Fashioned was). I tried a sip of my best friend’s dirty martini — CHEAP vodka! It tasted like rubbing alcohol. And that’s saying something because when you order a martini extra dirty, usually the vodka doesn’t matter quite so much. You’d think a restaurant like this would at least use a mid-range vodka. FOOD: My husband and I ordered the tempura green beans to start. They were really good. For dinner we split the 16 oz KC Bone-In Strip, a Caesar salad and the truffle fries. The steak was pretty good but we’ve had better elsewhere for a similar if not lesser price tag. The Caesar was good. The truffle fries probably would have been good if they had been served fresh, but they were cooling and not quite crisp by the time we got them. I was happy to see this restaurant doesn’t have a split plate fee though.

For a while we thought this casino steakhouse was a cut above most of the other run-of-the-mill casino restaurants. Usually, casino dining establishments leave a lot to be desired. After tonight, the previous statement seems to hold true yet again. We had been coming to Woodfire Grille a few times a year when visiting family in Kansas. In the past, the steaks and other dishes were surprisingly delicious. I’m afraid to say that the experience tonight was less than pleasant. First, the crab cakes for an appetizers. One was golden brown and perfectly pan-fried, the other was blonde and mushy. A clear sign that the cook isn’t paying attention to details. Second, the Caesar salad. They serve a cheese crisp(frico) with this salad that is usually fresh and delicate. Tonight, it was so stale, it was difficult to bite. It bent like cheap plastic instead of being brittle. Another key sign people aren’t caring about the products coming out of the kitchen. Third, the 10oz filet. Medium-rare should be the easiest to prepare for a grill cook. It is by far the most popular temperature for steaks. Tonight’s was almost raw in a large portion of the center. The beef itself was barely seasoned. I’m always sad to report these types of downgraded impressions.

Atmosphere is great. Menu has a decent variety and there has always been a Chefs«not on the menu» item. Food comes out warm and tasty. Cons: wait staff is a joke. I generally have my meals comped and they make me feel like it’s a «free meal» so no need to bother knowing how to explain the menu if you have questions about the veal for example. If you’re about the experience the Restaraunt is beautiful quiet and romantic. The gas fireplace visible from all sides is the visual focal point and it looks amazing. But if you’re a foodie… the menu prices don’t add up to the quality and service. They do make a French Press Café Americano($ 8 for a large 3 – 4 cups) is definitely something that was a huge surprise. Lost to the waiter who I had to flag down for ten minutes to get creamer(you thought to bring me brown sugar and chocolate shavings but no cream? Then not only did the waiter not check back but was clearly agitated that he was being«bothered». I gamble a lot. So I get a lot of meals comped. So will I eat there again? Absolutely. Would I be willing to pay those menu prices? Sure… but if I paid $ 60 a head before drinks like I do in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, that’s not the experience I would not expect. I’m not a complainer. I speak with my patronage or lack there of. So if your meal is free… dine away. It’s good fare. But if you’re paying… lots of restaurants in that price range in Wichita that would be a much better value and experience.

Food was awesome I came back second day to eat again. This is a classy place that doesn’t smell of smoke like the rest of the casino. Had filet first night and salmon second night. Appropriate portions and hot. Wine selection is also very nice. I was alone so I ate at the bar both nights. Ben(bartender) was excellent.

The best steak in town. Kristina johnson the manager is the sweetest and nicest person there. She was able to recommend great drinks to pair with our dinners. The wait staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. I’ve been 5 times with my wife and we’ve never been disappointed.

Great food. Steaks were perfect. Scallops and lobster were sweet and tender. Back of the house is on point. Waitstaff a joke. Worst service and skills I’ve had in a long time. No knowledge of the menu. Asked for recommendations and she had none. Brought food with no silver. Left 2 items off order and brought the sides after we were 90% done with our meal. Sent them back and still left them on the ticket. Had ask to have them removed. Placed silver and steak knifes in the wrong positions when they did come. No big deal. Just a statement. The chef busts his ass to put out good food and someone in front hires someone that shouldn’t work at Denny’s. Brought dessert with food still on the table. If anyone at woodfire cares the reservation was under Henderson on 9÷13÷13 Environment is nice. Classy looking, clean open and quiet. I’m a chef maybe I’m a little biased but hire people to match the food and style.
