My husband and I always buy their chocl ate creams at the holidays. Supper yummy creams, the best we’ve found. Order by Thanksgiving because they sell out quick!

Lowery’s Candies are the most delicious ever! I have been a customer since the early 70s and just love them. We send boxes of assortments to family and friends in several states, especially special holidays and birthdays and the familiar feedback is…“This is the finest chocolate we’ve ever had.”…

Lowery’s Candies brings back so many family memories of my childhood in Indiana. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and special occasions Lowery’s was a family tradition. That tradition continues in my family even though I am no longer reside in my Hoosier Homeland.
In the 1940’s out of the Lowery’s family home they began to make their wonderful hand dipped chocolates. To this day they still use the same recipes and hand dip their all of their chocolates. The Lowery family still runs the day to day business and has remained true to the family roots of quality candy making. During this 65 years the business it has grown out of it’s original home and expanded to the West side of Muncie, IN.

. Enough of the background info, how about the taste of the candy. Well it is delicious and unique to any other candy made in the world. Why is it so good, well of course the fresh ingredients and recipes handed down, but also the fact quality is never compromised. My favorites are the toffee’s and a special candy called «Dark Secret» You only need to try it one time, you will be sold… it’s that good.
You can get boxes increments of 1 lb, 2 lb and 5 lb. It’s not cheap, so if you are looking for Russell Stovers prices you’re looking at the wrong box of chocolates. However, they also want to stay at a price point to sell in town, so not at a Godiva price point either. They now offer a limited number of sugar free candy. My favorite time of the year is Easter when you can get the chocolate eggs filled with a candy of your choice. My Father all the way up to his death order my kids one and they looked so forward to it every year.
One week from today they will open their doors for another season of candy selling. Those fortunate enough to have already tried these delectable treats do not need a sales pitch. However, for those that consider themselves candy connoisseurs you will surely appreciate the ultimate find that a native Munsonian has bestowed upon thee.

Generally my feelings towards buying candy at candy shops tend to be a big «meh!» but these candies are AWESOME! Best candy shop chocolates I’ve ever had.
I really like their peanut butter candy. They have great holiday items, including a chocolate Easter egg filled with their own candies. Yum!

The best chocolate I have tasted ever! I am from Ohio and order a few pounds a year during the cooler months. Easy to do now that they have online ordering. I usually get the mixed milk/​dark chocolate assorted and a box of pecan nut roll (to die for).

The legendary Lowery’s candy shop is a Muncie institution along the lines of Pizza King and Concannons. They use Blommer chocolate from Chicago to make their wonderful candies. This is just simply great american hand-​dipped candy; not all a jazzed up with gold leaf and rolled fondant. Some of my personal fav’s consist of their bourbon cherries, dark secrets, and their pecan balls. They are not open during the summer because it’s too hot for the chocolate so plan accordingly!
