Is it the Steppenwolf in Chicago? No, but this beautiful old Vaudeville/movie theater is a gem — one of the few that has been spared the town fathers of Muncie’s mania to destroy all the beautiful architecture in town. The theater puts on an ambitious program of musicals and plays every year – with participation from both local residents and BSU students. The presence of the students generally adds to the quality of the performances – and while they enhance the performances, the opportunities offered by the theater enhance the musical theater and acting option at BSU. If you get a chance to see a production here, it’s worth checking out.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Yorktown, IN
This is a restored vaudeville era theater. The Mainstage is where the main events are. They have a smaller, experimental, theater as well. The shows are usually well produced and used to be entirely community based. Now, at times, the cast is 90 percent or more BSU students. There’s good and bad to each, I suppose. The venue itself, is interesting. I have been rained on at times, and at other times been entertained by a flying bat.
