This place has amazing food and great atmosphere. The tea has a little too much artificial sugar though. The wings are amazing with barbecue and the quesadillas are on point. Good service and friendly servers. Definitely a ball state staple restaurant.

Went there on finals week, it was 2pm, not busy. I Sat in the newly remodeled Bar section with 5 other friends. Servers stood around for 5 minutes. Bartender(who I believe is also a manager, she’s also blonde if that helps) finally came over to us. I asked for a «Not your father’s Root Beer», and everyone else ordered their drink of choice. Only one of those drinks was a mixed martini(two«Not your father’s Rootbeer bottles, 2 draft beers, ad one mixed martini). Anyway, took 18 minutes to get JUSTOURDRINKS. No apology during the wait either. Then as we were closing the night, we asked for water. A new waitress/bartender took over our section by this time(I get it, the other was probably needing to clock out, not upset with the change) ANDSHEROLLEDHEREYESATUS!!! BECAUSEWEASKEDFORWATER! I was beyond pissed. This was ridiculous. Food is great but service is horrendous. Then it took Scotty’s of Muncie almost a week to get back to me about the horrible service. Just tells me they really don’t care. I mean, I’m a college kid, but YOUAREIN A COLLEGETOWN. LITERALLYINTHEVILLAGE. Don’t you think you should treat us like you would any other customer? I’m just baffled. Scotty(owner) emailed me but there was no compensation for the bad service, just that they would«work on it».

Scottys is a Ball State staple! A must-try if you are visiting campus. It usually has a pretty decent crowd and wait at peak hours, but they move pretty quickly. Scottys did just undergo renovations and a lot of changes, which has in my opinion inhibited service a little. As expected, it is just a bunch of college students working and running the show… Some of whom probably are not the best at customer service. Their food has never disappointed me, I love the shueman burger, it is a must try! Also to start, try the pulled pork nachos. So unhealthy and so good. They also do have some really great salads if you are staying on track for the day. Their newest addition is their liquor license for hard liquor which adds a new dynamic. I’ve had their margaritas and they’re pretty good. But not very strong. All in all, this is probably the best option if you’re in the village and looking for a Muncie classic.

Scotty’s has great food and great service! I am always happy when I leave there. It gets busy, so come early on busy nights! They have their liquor license now so only beer is no longer a problem!

40 minutes after ordering apps I asked server about them ‘I don’t know, let me check?’. Shouldn’t she have checked 20 minutes earlier? Asked hostess as she walked by. she also checked on them. How long does it take to heat a dip and drop some onion rings? Server came back 10 minutes later and said confusion in kitchen… our meal is ready not apps. Now we even ordered them separately. Told her to forget apps and bring food. They forgot cheese on my burger and the onion I ordered on the burger was ½ a ring, not even a slice! The table next to us was having the same issues. They need to get their act together!

I ordered from tranzind delivery which was great everyone should try it! My only complaint is I ordered my burger md-rare and it was well done :(. I understand a delivery service the food may not be exactly as ordered but when I received my meal it was completely well done :( I know meat cooks longer even when taken off the grill but never this dry or well done completely dissatisfied with the food

Loved the new bar design and setup. Will be great when the liquor license comes through, but I go for the beer anyway, so I’m happy! The bartender was fast and friendly without being awkward, and I had a great time killing a couple hours with lunch and beers. The food was absolutely perfect, even better than normal actually, not sure why.

I ordered a carry out. Wings had hardly any sauce on them. Ordered the dirt cup dessert which were missing the gummy worms. The featured berry salad came with 3 or 4 blueberries and not much else. I was very disappointed in the overall quality of the food.

My wife and I both enjoyed a very nice lunch at Scotty’s today. The food was well prepared, seasoned well, and served in a timely manner. Staff was attentive and courteous plus or waitress came around just often enough to take care of us but not so much as to become annoying. A very nice experience at a reasonable price.

The absolutely best sweet potato fries I have ever had. Some menu items are expensive, but the portion sizes seem to be pretty large.

I started going to the Scotty’s in West Lafayette years ago. Always excellent food and craft beer selections. There is a Scotty’s now in Muncie and Ft Wayne too — both also good, except the Ft Wayne location isn’t as quaint at the other two.

This us MYALL time fave place to go when I visit Muncie from Chicago. For 3 years I have had countless meals and never have had a bad one. Staff us always friendly and efficient. Bryce is one of the best managers and is constantly checking on the customers. He always recognizes me and makes me feel welcome. The Peanut Thai Chicken wings are the best but so are the burgers and the Black and Blue Salad. I’ve had the breaded tenderloin and it is definitely Indiana quality! Soups are also a great choice along with 3 Wiseman chips. Good selection of beer but I’m more of a wine drinker so was glad when they added several choices! I am happy! I’ve been to locations in Indy and Mishawaka. While all are good this one I feel at home in. Recent servers get my kudos Zack, Ally and Taylor you rock.

Eating here is bizarre. This Scotty’s location serves beer only, no liquor. Despite this, the menus list daily drink specials and cocktails… WHY would you advertise things you are unwilling to sell?! That’s silly. The waitress explained this is the first location and the owner wants to keep it «family friendly». Sure, OK. Then why is this location in the«village» — where Ball State undergrads go to party? Scotty’s obviously is a college bar… Meanwhile, the newly opened Brothers up the street is always full and willing to make drinks their menus advertise. Wonder how long this Scotty’s will continue to only sell beer! Severs are always great, food is always underwhelming. Won’t be back.

If you want hipster food… this is the place. Hipster bar food. Menu is basically burgers, wraps and salads. Definitely for the 20 something wanting to be cool. Not bad… just loud and not great.

Great burgers, good service, great place to watch a football game. Close to ball state campus and recently remodeled. Parking can be difficult if it’s a busy night but worth walking A block or two. Excellent prices and large servings. Grab a growler Tuesdays and Saturdays carryout 64 Oz of fresh brewed beer.

Oh how to rate this? This is a bar that serves beer and wine and sandwiches, mostly burgers. To be honest, the food is a bit overpriced(particularly for Muncie) and is of variable quality. They do, however, have a good beer selection. Of course, it is a mystery why restaurants with really high quality food have not arisen in the Village. The big saving grace is the quality of the waitresses and bartenders. They are all top notch!

Service? What is customer service? Not something you would find here. After being seated with no menus, food or drink, I managed to wrangle a beer menu from another customer-ten minutes into be seated and not greeted by our waiter. He came and asked for our drinks, I asked if we could have food menus, he was very caught of guard that we didn’t have any. After ordering our beer he came back to take our food order– beer had yet to be delivered-ten more minutes passed. Beer then finally arrived. 35min later our waiter came to apologize for the delay with our food. 35 minutes for any more contact? Not once did he come back to check on our drinks or anything. The manager came to apologize eventually and offered us a free desert– which was a kind gesture I suppose– but I’d rather them comp by beer than have a piece of free boxed cake. Overall– the food and beer were good– one star for each– and negative three stairs for horrible service. Please learn how to keep your customers happy the first time. After reading other reviews– seems to me that lack of service is quite the trend. **EDIT** Ten days since the manager Bruce has reviewed my email address to pass along to the GM in regards to my horrible experience and I have yet to receive any further communication! Who’s slower at communication? The servers or the GM?

It might have been the late hour… Or long speeches preceding it… But the local– pastured burger on a twisted pretzel bun piled with thin onion rings and accompanied by 3WiseMen Blackberry Wheat special made my day. Good job adjusting the ancient idea of burger to the foodie/Yelp crowd! Just give us exotic options, such as bison, local pasture or veggie and then throw in the Fun Bun and topping options and we will write happy reviews… Open and light-filled concept that many new brew houses are adopting. Plenty of screens to keep guys happy. The service was just a touch slow, which could have been the problem only because we were trying to get back on the road vs. enjoy a lazy evening and fine weather. Looked a clear winner for dining close to Ball State campus.
