The food was absolutely delicious and I could tell that everything was made fresh. I ate the chicken panini and the roasted potatoes with garlic aioli. I love that everything is organic/sustainable/Earth friendly. The only downside is that there is very little ventilation in the building, so it gets VERY smoky when they are cooking food. For someone with allergies and asthma, this makes it impossible to eat inside.

Some prices are a little high, that’s to be expected for saving you the 40 minute drive to Trader Joe’s or Fresh Thyme. Staff is wonderfully friendly. You definitely get the feeling of supporting community in this store. And the local heirloom tomatoes in summer are beautiful!

3.5 stars. But I do believe in rounding. I have been meaning to eat here forever now, as I have visited for my Muncie Kombucha fix many times. The menu is actually really amazing and much larger than I imagined. I was recommended the avocado panini. and it was very fresh, but could have been enhanced with a little meat to dull down that supppper avocado flavor. My boyfriend got the pork belly panini, which was awesome. Both were fresh and served with little sides of fruit. We split the lentil soup of the day. The bowl was a fair amount to split and was fresh, tasty, and nice to warm us up. This would be a 5 star in my Muncie book if a few things were enhansed: –Gluten free options. I avoid the stuff normally, and it seems that DTFS has a lot of GF options for sale. why not use those in the sandwhiches. Maybe they do, but it was not advertised. –The price. OMG a mango was 5.00. I had to laugh. In a college town it would be nice to have a student discount day. or anything! There is no way I could come here and shop for enough groceries for the week. –The service. If I am spending around 15.00 for a sandwich and drink, I would like the servers to be a little more friendly and prompt in producing my order. -.50 cent water. Seriously? I wasn’t even informed of this when I asked for a water cup. So, that was annoying. Also, I am spending quite enough on my sandwich that I think you could comp my water.

Being vegans and traveling all across the country, full time in an RV, we find it difficult to find GOOD, homemade, fresh meals. The Downtown Farm Stand in Muncie has everything we value in purchasing and eating whole food. They’re produce is ORGANICANDLOCAL! The deli side has sandwiches that you can modify for vegetarian or vegan. The owners really care about what they’re serving to their customers. The grocery store has organic foods and produce. It’s a nice sized store from organic spices and organic flours to organic canned goods and local, grain fed meats and eggs. There are plenty of seats/tables to eat at and it’s reasonably priced for organic/local foods. In addition to caring about their clients, they support local farmers. We are all about that! Did I mention that it’s organic? :)

I had the avocado panini which was so good! The bread is amazingly good, a bit salty but balances well with the avocado. I also had the miso soup which was also really good. Light and healthy! Great find!

I ordered avocado panini with added turkey. For $ 1.50 extra, they didn’t give me that much turkey… With that said, the panini was really fresh tasting and delicious. I would’ve put more seasoning though, as it were kind of bland tasting.

I had the chipotle pork belly sandwich with apples; I can honestly say this is my favorite bread that I’ve ever had on a sandwich. It was also pretty huge; I ended up taking half to go. They also have organic salad greens for a pretty good deal.

The food here is amazing! The people are fantastic. Great service. The Avocado Panini is Crazy Good; made with homemade bread. And they have Kombucha with mango! Three times in three days, for lunch. Excellent, every time. Habit-forming, for sure. But, it’s healthy! So, it’s all good!

Stopped in while on business from San Diego. It’s like a mini trader joes. Breakfast panini is fantastic. Coffee is organic and fresh. Feels like a little hipster slice of CA right here in Muncie.

I love this place! Moving here from California, this little place is a hugely refreshing gem of a find, that offers the food and products a health conscience consumer finds nearly impossible to find in this town elsewhere. Its the ONLY deli in this town that offers the most organic and non-GMO options in one concentrated location. The owners are very sweet and friendly and make wonderful sandwiches! Their home made spelt bread is fantastic! Great music while you dine, too! This place is worth the stop, anytime! :)

Yumm! This food is incredible! I had the Italian chicken panini and Italian chicken and tomato soup… So fresh and flavorful! I love that their ingredients are all organic and local… I don’t find that often. I will definitely come back every time I’m in town! Thanks, Dave, for the wonderful lunch! :)

Great find! There are no options in Muncie like this place. All organic, fresh local produce, non-GMO products. Their deli makes great sandwiches, hummus and soups. They have wraps but I haven’t tried them you. Workers say they are hoping to add some juicing and smoothies this summer. Let’s hope it works out. That would be a great addition to this place. Parking is easy in front. Free wifi. Really friendly and welcoming staff! Check it out!

So happy to have learned about this place. They sell a variety of amazing brands. I am personally addicted to Nature Path Macaroon Crunch Granola Bars! Was so pleased to see Spicy Falafel Chips and bought some freshly made hummus from the deli. The hummus was the perfect blend of lemon and garlic goodness. The staff is so friendly. The meat and produce on sale is gorgeous. Can’t wait to return! There is a lot of happiness in eating healthy nutritious food that doesn’t make your body slow down and fight to process :)

This place is the best! I just wish a) that it was bigger, so I could do 100% of my shopping here forever, and b) that they had another location in Anderson, where we’ve recently moved. I highly recommend you save up a good chunk of cash and buy everything you can for your home here!

I just finished my Spicy Veggie Wrap and had to write a review telling you all how much I love this place. The people are friendly, there is plenty of room to sit and socialize, and the products they carry are all organic. They even sell animal and environmentally friendly household supplies and cleaning products. My only suggestion would be for them to offer Daiya and/or vegan«meats» at their deli.

Always delicious food at the deli, excellent delivery service, highest standards for their grocery store. I’ve been a member of their CSA delivery for awhile. Today they had a Phở buffet and it was outstanding. This is a special place… Muncie is proud to have it!

Stopped by today for a late lunch while visiting relatives in the area. We both had the Spinach melt which was delicious! Nice toasty bread with feta cheese, red onions, steamed spinach and mushrooms. Had a little orange half on the side which rounded out an excellent, lite meal. A great selection of beers to have with lunch, my partner had a California Blonde and I had some French Roast coffee which was perfect. Staff was helpful with recommendations and the prices were a great value.

The Downtown Farm Stand Deli is a WONDERFUL place to get a fresh, hand-made meal. They have a great menu that offers some really tasty options, all made with local/organic ingredients. They specialize in putting a unique spin on sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as their now famous corn tortilla tacos. They have began offering fresh(and sustainably caught/harvested) seafood options, which is AWESOME!
