Now, to be honest, I know very little about bikes. But I knew I needed new tires and rim strips for mine, and there is really no other place in the area that sells bike stuff… so I went over to check it out. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and understanding of my needs. So many places will try to up-​sell you things you don’t need… but when I told him I almost never bike and was looking at price point more than anything, he was happy to help me out and explain what I needed. He set me up with a cheaper set of tires that will cover my needs. I appreciate that they have a range of items at different costs to cover both serious enthusiasts, and people who just occasionally take their bikes for a spin. They also offer tune-​ups.

I recently purchased my first hybrid bike from Marty’s. It’s a nice little shop and they have a good stock of mountain, road, hybrid, and comfort bikes to choose from. They only offer select brands (Trek and Cannondale I know for sure). I was able to purchase all the accessories I need as well including a helmet, car rack, rear bike rack and pannier bags. The bikes range in price so there should be something within everyone’s price range. The accessories were expensive but good quality. The nice thing about shopping for a bike at a place like Marty’s is that they let you take them out for test rides so that you can be confident in your purchase.
Staff & Service:
Every staff member that I have interacted with has been very friendly and informative. They all seem well-​versed in the bike world and are bicyclists themselves. They helped me choose a bike to fit my needs and answered all questions I had. The first time I went in there an employee spent an hour and half with me selecting all my gear and going through my options. A month after my purchase my kickstand was coming loose and I didn’t have a tool that could get between the frame to tighten it. I rode my bike to Marty’s and they took care of it right away. Each time I go there it’s a comfortable environment and I like when shops have that quality to them.
I deducted a star because the bike accessories are a bit pricy and also because I wish they offered seminars or classes for bike enthusiasts and beginners. I asked them if they could show me some basic bike maintenance and they really couldn’t show me anything besides oiling the chain. I recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to become either a casual or serious bicyclist, especially if you don’t mind spending some money on really good gear.

Great bike shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Bought 3 new Treks and they are great. Took back 2 days later for a noise and they fixed it on the spot for free.
