Nothing that great, been here a long time near police department has a mini mart that needs updating.

Crime Doesn’t Pay
This station has changed companies and owners several times. It is located right next to the Mundelein Police station. It’s one of a few gas stations within a couple of blocks. They have a small shop inside to grab lottery tickets, candy bars, energy drinks and pretty much anything that you would want to get at a gas station.
The thing that I remember the most about this gas station is when I was younger I had stopped here for gas. My dad was with me and as I was pumping fuel into my Orange Ford Maverick I heard a familiar sound. I looked at my dad and said is that Fritz (our family German Shorthaired Pointer) barking. I looked over at the police station and sure enough it was Fritz locked up in a large fence type cage outside the police station. I finished filling up may car and then walked over to the cage where Fritz was being held (without bail). I opened the cage door where I grabbed my dog and walked him back to my car.
Fritz had a habit of getting loose and wondering the neighborhood. I thought that it was the perfect crime until a couple of days I received a letter from the police and a $ 25 fine. Oh well.
So every time that I fill up my car here, it reminds me of my dog Fritz and the day that we almost got away.
