We heard so many great things about Brian Cummings at catalyst! Then when we met him, I felt he was just a lil off, my fiancé said he seemed ok so I just shook it off. Since our budget for music was limited I booked Brian. It ended up being a huge mistake. He was hard to get a hold of and when I finally got a hold of him he rambled & made no sense! I feel like he may have something going on with him. He is scattered, and quick to say oh ya ya but next time I get a hold of him he had no recollection of what I had asked for. He never got me into their online planning system until 2 days before our wedding and it wouldn’t even work for us. 5 days before our wedding he wanted to discuss our cocktail music. I carefully outlined exactly what I wanted. Exactly! The era, genre & a handful of band names. He wanted ME to collect all the music, burn it to a cd & give it to him to play. Isn’t that what I’m paying for him to do?!?
So we had him for our ceremony… His sound system was horrible! It crackled and sounded horrible! I was so upset! Then he took his sweet time setting up for the cocktail hour. Had I known he didn’t have the equipment to handle both & that the transition wouldn’t be seamless I wouldn’t have let him do it.
At the reception he he started out playing all the stuff I asked him to stay away from! And I had a short list of must plays & they never got played!
Worst dj ever! Did I mention he played air guitar? Barf.
I’ll never refer him to anyone!!!

I had Brian DJ my wedding after he came highly recommended from a friend. He was great. He gave us an awesome deal and kept everyone out on the floor all night. I had to plan my wedding very quickly and didn’t have much time to get very specific with the music. I gave him very few guidelines, but he did an excellent job of adjusting quickly to what people were responding to. He did great incorporating many genres to please everyone and got everyone moving. I would highly recommend him.

We had Brian Cummings, owner and DJ from Catalyst Productions, DJ our wedding. Brian was a great DJ playing a variety of music to suit the mixed ages at our wedding — the dance floor was filled all night! He followed all of our ‘rules’ of what to play and what not to play. He was just great. I recommend Catalyst Productions DJ for all events!
