Danny Z’s Pub and Grub

Great food great servers. Always a pleasant experience. Drinks are reasonably priced and the pizza is from Dantes so how could you go wrong.

It was like a tale of two visits.
The first visit there was great service; our server (I believe her name was Amanda) came by very often and was very friendly. We ordered fried pickles as our appetizers and they were great. Wings were good too.
The second visit there the service was a lot different; our server came by very rarely (and it was probably half as busy as our first visit). We ordered fried pickles again, but this time they were these little shriveled remains of what may have once been good fried pickles. It was like what happens when grapes become raisins, but for pickles. Wings were still good, but I’d recommend offering boneless wings for All You Can Eat, otherwise I’d prefer going to Hooters for All You Can Eat.
Not sure why the experience from the first and second visits varied so much, but I’m willing to go a third time for a tie breaker. I like Danny Z’s and will hope for an experience more similar to our first visit.

Consistently visit and the owner will even send us a round one and a while. The burgers are fantastic and their drinks are never flat or watered down. Great place to watch a game or hit up after work before it gets filled up. I wish it opened earlier so we could do lunch thee and grab a few beers. Well Unilocal is saying my review is too short so … X x. Xxxxx.

I am seriously confused why this place has good reviews. I don’t have one good thing to say about this place. Gone twice, left unhappy both times. The worst part is the food. The waitress recommended the Cuban sandwich. It was probably one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had. I had the grilled chicken the next time, (safer option). Still average.
The only good thing about this place is full bar. Great place if you wanna get fucked up, and watch overweight, has been high school football players, reminisce about there glory days while there pregnant wife’s are smoking menthols outside.
Don’t come here. The gigantic letters on the outside saying, «beer here» should be enough of a warning!

Great weekday specials. Very friendly staff and very active with beer and wine tastings to Jersey raffles and trivia nights. The food is great and it’s a chill and hangout type of place. The staff are very nice, attentive and quick. They even offer free popcorn! I love this bar!

They have great salads. They are huge… big enough for two meals. On our most recent visit I found that they began a «create your own salad» option. There was a sheet of paper in the menu to circle your ingredients. As a follower of the Paleo Diet, it can be challenging for me to order without tons of alterations to my order. This was a nice surprise.
Because there is no smoking it tends to be chilly inside in the winter with people heading in and out to go smoke so dress warmly.

Had family in from out of town for the holidays and they wouldnt serve them because their IDs were from out of state even after presenting them 5 different forms of ID INCLUDING a military ID. JOKE of a place. I live right down the street and have always gone here but i will NEVER go back after that.

Had a great lunch today, surprised it’s not more crowded at lunchtime!

My favorite local bar! It’s the perfect place to have a few drinks and relax with friends :) The service is always spot on and management is very accommodating. I had my birthday party here, and management was helpful with setting up my event. They did a wonderful job and so did the servers! Excellent ambiance, service, drinks, and food too!!!

You know, I’ve been driving by Danny Z’s for a year and a half and didn’t want to give it a chance. It doesn’t look like much on the outside (because, really, most sports bars in NWI strip malls don’t look like much from the outside), but I was happily surprised.
The ambience inside is nice, the food and service were excellent, and they also had a decent draft list. I was happily surprised that they had two vegetarian sandwich options – something that I’ve found to be a rarity in these parts. Also: lots of TVs for watching whatever game happens to be on at the moment, though yesterday they were playing music, not the audio from Finals Game 4. Perhaps that’s different when one of our Chicago teams is on the big screen.
I should have come in sooner, and will again!

Awesome service, coconut shrimp with banana sauce was amazing, grouper sandwich was fresh, home made fries were almost burnt-​the perfect amount of crispness. Will definitely be back!

This is a solid bar and I have been coming here for years. It is a sports bar which has a good family day crowd. In addition at night they will have live music from time to time and ages ranging from 21 to 60. Big spread lol. They always have good specials here and have always updated their menus every few years. I would recommend this bar to families and to the night crowd looking for a good time.

Love the small changes made under new management! Keep up the great work! :) I love visiting this bar and seeing old friends and family every time I am in town! They have added things like more live music, but are keeping it extremely clean and classic. Great for families, and the bar crowd. LOVE that it has entirely gone smoke free! I honestly believe that this bar will continue to hold onto its essence as a family friendly bar that caters to its Munster community! If it does, it will never fall into that disgusting «dollar beer,» scummy, type of place. Stay cool.

We had the best time last night! The food was beyond incredible, best bar food I’ve ever had! Great music, awesome drink specials and bartender Gary really took care of us!

1) Service: friendly, fast, informative. I was given details on specials. They were willing to change screens for what I wanted to watch. They are on a first name basis with majority of their customers, (remembered mine upon my 2^nd visit). They are kind: they thought of me when my team lost the world series. 2) Food: vast menu. The menu has lots of different items that I had never seen before; fried pickles — yum! 3) Atmosphere: great screens, great sound, clean, nice clientele. 4) Parking: ample.

This place has turned out to be surprisingly good. I think they’ve gotten a new cook and a new menu in the last year. I’ve been back several times now. As far as bar food, their jalapeño poppers are awesome and their fries are great. Last time I went, I tried the mahi-​mahi fish tacos and they were actually awesome. Topped with a great little mango salsa.

This is my favorite local watering hole. The wings and fries are really good as are the burgers and the pizza. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is back to being non-​smoking which is a huge plus. You don’t have to be a neighborhood person to come here, everyone is nice.

I hosted a birthday party here during the Bears game last season and it was great. The staff was attentive before and during the party and the food was really good. They were so accommodating and I really recommend this bar/​restaurant in the northwest Indiana area.

Danny Z’s has great drink specials and some good grub. I had a few of their fish dishes and was pleasantly surprised. The menu provides unique plates which add a pleasant diversity to the many mundane restaurants in the area.
