No lie this is the best brisket around. It’s just melts in your mouth. I eat it every time I go. Couldn’t tell you how the other sandwiches are because it’s the only thing I eat.

My husband and I went for the fist time on the Friday before the 4th of July just for something different and we had the steak and cheese sandwiches, which were really good and service was good too, we also had a bowl of chili and it was the worst chili I have ever tasted, other than that we probably would come back.

Great place to come a get a great tasting sub along with great service! Had the Steak and Cheese! Always the best service! Must try the plethora of hot sauces available the sandwiches! I just wish that they had more bread selections!

Blah. Not all that. I’ve had subs from a lot of places and theirs is on the bottom of the list. If you have a birthday coming up, go in there with your ID and get one for free to try it out, otherwise keep your money and get a sub somewhere else.

I tried Firehouse Subs today, I usually patronize Chipotle which is right down the sidewalk. I had a the Hook and Ladder Light. It was delicious! The bread was nice and soft and had a slightly sweet taste. The sandwich was by no means skimpy! The fresh ingredients were very fresh! The young lady that assisted me at the counter was very patient with me as it was my first time there. Can not wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu!

It’s ok… I would give it 3 ½ cause it’s not bad but there is just nothing special… it’s way too much like a Subway with better décor. I would rather pay a little more for a sandwich and actually get meat in it than a bunch of bread worn a few slices… I’ll stick with Jimmy Johns

Just used Firehouse Subs in Munster for a catering order(box lunches). ALL of the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Prices are very reasonable and well worth it for the quality! Highly recommend!

I really try not to give bad reviews, but my experience here was not so great. First, I went here for lunch(during lunchtime) and it was surprisingly dead inside. I am a friendly person, so I immediately greet the employees. One of the employees just stared at me and didn’t say a word… she continued to stare at me like I was an alien. Sadly, being friendly to people now-a-days can cause others to be uncomfortable? Idk, I just thought that was extremely rude. I have never been ignored by someone like that before, especially an employee serving me. Soo, not only was the customer service crappy, the food wasn’t that great either. I thought my chicken salad sandwich was kinda blah. Nothing special at all & for the price… totally not worth it. Subway is a much better option in my opinion!

Better than subway with the same kind of soft bread. Staff is nice and helpful. Parking can be rough.

Sandwiches here are great because you can customize them to fit your taste, hot or cold it doesn’t matter. Their online ordering is user friendly and aids in that process of getting the sandwich just the way you like. The workers here and really down to earth and get you in and out pretty quickly. can’t forget the pop machine it’s like the main attraction!

To be fair– I’m not really a fan of sub sandwiches in general. The BF loves this place and I work nearby, so I’m nice every now and then and bring it home. The staff is always confused. I know it’s somewhat new to the area, but I’ve had this issue at every location. It takes forever for the food to be finished, so I wouldn’t suggest going if you have a short lunch break. The only sandwich I can even say is alright is the Italian. The brownies at the register are pretty good too.

ive been anxious to try this place, the new munster one on calumet ave. im being fair by saying that its nice that part of your bill goes to help the firefighters, or community. they give out free disposable firehats… and its a decent atmosphere, but to be honest… there wasnt anything special about their subs, not at all. toasting your bread isnt even an option, and you get a choice between wheat or white bread. nothing that stands out about their subs. im not a subway sandwhich guy at all(the franchise) but atleast they have 5 different breads, offer more ingredients that are pretty basic too… and theyre bread can be toasted at request. i prefer Quiznos over these guys. sorry. but nothing stood out i was dissapointed, because i like trying new places. i ordered 2 different sandwhices, and my mom agreed too.

Love the pop machine. We made a second trip to Firehouse just to buy a pop. The food was good a little on the non healthy side. Who needs cheese, sauce, and mayo. Save the calories for the sub. Had the chili in North Carolina and it was very good. Like that they give you any type of hot sauce — nice touch. Good but not great.

Wish there was half stars… So on the plus side, the Hawaiian Pulled Pork sandwich is unbelievable. For fast casual it’s an absolute awesome menu item. The place itself has nice décor, and good amenities. The staff were warm and inviting, but overall there is a lack of organization. I would suggest they may want to place in some rope and stanchion for creating an ordering line(like pot-belly does). My wife had the tuna(which was on the normal steamed then toasted bread)…and she had mentioned how fresh the veggies were, but the tuna was just ok. I did notice that steaming then toasting almost give that«we just put it on untouched bread» kind of feel. Overall, this is much better than your typical subway… seems better quality then Penn Station, and is on par with Potbelly. I will definitely be back, for I have many more subs to try off their menu. If they are as good as the King Hawaiian… then it’s a win for me. P. S. On a side note, this place has a nice donation system to help our firefighters… while good, I would love to see corporate do something like a «match» system. It would make me feel like the company cares more than just being an outlet to collect patron’s donations, rather than capitalizing on our nations heroes. like a 3% of everything you buy here goes toward…

The best Meatball sub around! Every thing I have ordered has been tasty — I do admit that I haven’t ventured far from the Meatball and this location is on par with the one in Wheaton. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The pop machine allows for different selections and mixes. Lots of hot sauces which is cool. This is in my lunch rotation and I have got my staff hooked on them. I would give 5 stars but the store is crowded and there is little room to move around. The parking is difficult as this is a busy complex. Overall a solid bet in this area — There isn’t much competition in NWI
