This is a beautiful picturesque campus. The large spread out campus can be confusing so come early for appointments. The cafeteria is mediocre so check out the on site Starbucks. The staff is hardworking but maybe tired. However, the care you get here is still superior to what I see offered in the private sector(especially long term care facilities.) The Sunday Chapel service is long standing & the Veterans say its very good. The onsite gymnasium is a plus for Veterans & staff alike. The Fisher House on campus is an amazing FREE place to stay for families & Veterans alike. It’s fancier than most hotels & well stocked with supplies & love. Note the shuttle that travels all around campus & you can call from anywhere. My husband & I are Veterans so we understand some of the complaints in the news but remember, «you get bees with honey» & the staff is mostly Veterans too so be nice to one another! We are all on the same team. God Bless You. God Bless America & those who serve & sacrifice for freedom.

Checking in for an appointment can be done at a kiosk that scans the VA card. This makes one less line you have to stand in or at least speeds up the waiting time. The pharmacy also has a kiosk check in system. The employees are outwardly thanking the vets for their service. The desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The snow and ice are not being tended to like most other customer based building entries. Please be careful not to injure yourself.

Not a VA hospital that I would recommend. The staff is confrontational and condescending — not what veterans deserve. I transferred from another facility and was told by the administration I was ineligible. three days later they reversed the decision and I was invited back. my new doctor was argumentative and condescending. Oh, and parking is a nightmare also.
