The place was trashy and the staff was very rude. I can’t think of a time I’ve ever been treated so disrespectfully as a customer. The bartender insulted me and my date and tried to make me pay some guy’s bill I had never met before. I’m glad I payed cash– they likely would have made false charges on my card if I had used it. Ask around and you’ll hear that there have been many fights and even shootings here in the past– and it’s apparent why. I recommend avoiding at all costs.

It got a 2 because I’ve been coming here for literally 15 years. Never met the new door guy though. Bobby must’ve been in diapers the last time I was here. next time I see him I’m going to punch him in the face… incredibly rude. Aggressive. Hateful. However, on the good side, the owner is a badass :-) go here. Spend your money. Just don’t expect like service.

This is a dive… with all of the perks. A smallish smokey atmosphere with some of the more grungy, ruff looking folks in the up and coming city of Murfreesboro. Foosball and pool tables actually in acceptable location considering the space. Being located across the street from MTSU(one of Tennessee’s largest colleges) it can be over run at times by youngsters trapped on campus looking for a quick place to be drunk. No shortage of neon signs, dim lighting and loud music… A fun place to play karaōke on the days they offer it. And it seems they have a contest on Wednesdays…“love my hair, I hope I win”. Good place to be divey if you are ever around the M’boro.

Welcome to screamo karoake and black hipsters. This place is seriously a dumb. Cheap drinks… kind of. But everyone here wants to fight or flash a gun. Just stay away.

My friend Kelly says Campus Pub stopped selling liquor after her 18th birthday was celebrated there. I think that says a lot of things about the Pub, and if you’ve ever been there, it gives you pause to wonder just what kind of throwdown took place. Sadly, it was before I knew her, and probably for the best, as I was slightly more underage than Kelly herself at the time. I used to be conveniently located around the corner from the Pub, whether I was on campus or at my apartment on Brown Drive. Is it a bad thing that so many happy memories are centered on a bar? I think not. My husband and I went there on our first date, and we made a beeline for it right after my dentist appointment on the day we were married. It was where I finished my first New York Times crossword puzzle, and the first place I was sloshed enough to get up and sing on a Wednesday karaōke night. We all went there to celebrate birthdays, holidays, ends of the semester, heartbreaks, no reasons at all … it was just where we went. The Pub reigns supreme in many things – cheap beer, excellent bartenders, a gigantic front porch, and bitchin’ bar fights, to name but a few – but most of all, my heart.

Located across the street from MTSU and around the corner from Gentleman Jim’s, this little place has a lot going on. Foosball, pool, and beer drinking are the main activities, with karaōke, trivia and other activities rotated on a weekly schedule. They recently announced being open 24 hrs a day, which means they start serving breakfast at 3am when they stop selling booze. The breakfast isn’t bad; basic food like eggs, country ham, bacon, etc and hash browns plus other staples.
