I feel like this is your standard Cheddar’s. I am quite dissapointed at their menu though. I feel like there isn’t much to choose from. No extraordinary dishes that make them orignal or unique. I would say that their onion rings are !! Otherwise great service, pretty clean inside as well.

For a Saturday night I was very surprised to find out that there wasn’t a wait for the restaurant. It’s in a really convenient and popular location near the interstate and on a nice night like this I would have expected there to be more people. That was until I went in and ate. The 3-star«A-Ok» is about the way I would describe my meal. I had their Sweet Heat Chicken and Shrimp from their Lighter Side selections(562 calories) as well as their Honey Butter Croissants. The bread was probably some of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. However, I was not very impressed by the salad that came with the chicken and shrimp and found the dressing to be too spicy for the meal. The prices were reasonable and I didn’t leave dissatisfied with the chicken, shrimp, and ginger rice they came on which were in all honesty very good. My partner had the New Orleans Pasta which he thought was also good except for the smoked sausage that came with it. Our server was nice and we were in an out in under an hour.

I mean it’s a corporate restaurant so you don’t go in expecting much but this is worse then usual carded twice, waitress covering the bar came over and asked me what I wanted to drink and carded me. Bartender finally gets here and recards me again and retakes my order. In between that another waitress stopped to ask if I needed anything. What I need is someone to work the bar and for you people not ask me umpteen times what I want.

Always enjoy eating at Chedder’s. I believe it’s a chain, but the quality and ambiance are very nice, they have a menu with sufficient variety to satisfy most anyone’s taste. My wife and I like their salads and soups. Good value and a portion size that, to date, has always satisfied. You can go as a group with meat eaters and vegetarians and satisfy everyone.

I find it hard to believe that as much as I’ve eaten here, I haven’t left a review yet! This is a great place to take the family for a nice meal that won’t break the bank. My first experience with Cheddars was at a location in Des Moines, and thought to myself that I sure wish we had one here. A couple of years later, they razed(thank goodness) the Ryan’s that sat at this location and built the Cheddars. Yay! There’s a great selection of items on their menu to choose from to suit almost any taste. Their appetizers are great(awesome nachos) and although all of the entrees are good, there are a couple that really stand out. New Orleans Pasta — One of my favorites! This has chicken, sausage and shrimp in penne pasta with a delicious sauce that has the slightest hint of heat. It’s very filling and my go-to when I’m being indecisive since I know it will be awesome every time. Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms — This one is so good, that it’s hard to believe that it comes from a chain restaurant. If you want something different, go for this! None of the individual flavors overpower the entire dish, and they meld together perfectly. Shepherd’s Pie — This is not the bland pile of slop you’re expecting! Lots of meat and veggies in a thick, hearty broth(dare I call it a stew?) topped with some of the best mashed potatoes ever. There’s so many awesome dishes that I could go on and on, but another couple of standouts are the Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad, Chicken Pot Pie and Country Fried Steak. As for the sides, they have some amazing broccoli rice casserole and their red beans and rice are so good, I could make a meal just off of those! Apart from the food, service is always great and you never have to wait long for a table. They also have take out, so sometimes I like to call my order in and then just pick it up at the bar. I have noticed that the portions seem to be larger when you dine in than when you get take out, but there’s still lots to eat. It’s nto uncommon when dining in that you’ll have enough left to make another meal off of, so don’t forget the doggie bag!

I really leave this place extremely full and very satisfied. We arrived late afternoon today and surprisingly it was pretty busy and I thought the lunch rush was gone and over with. It wasn’t a bad wait, though. I’m a sucker for their mango tea, just perfectly sweet and a fresh slice of orange to compliment it. We started off with the queso that also comes with salsa, very yummy queso. My boyfriend got the fried catfish and it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. He also go the house salad that comes with a yummy honey butter croissant. I get the chicken and shrimp key west, comes with a yummy sweet save that you pour over chicken that’s topped with shrimp and pico. Service is always good here, nothing extreme but they’re definitely there to serve you, see if you want anything else a couple of times, and get you going. We recommend this place if you’re wanting a good meal and reasonable priced meals.

I always recommend cheddars to everyone I talk to that has never been there. I love their honey butter croissants, chicken tenders, baked spasagna, and hot fudge cake sundae. Their Texas sweet tea is pretty good, too. Our server recommended it to us on Saturday, and the drink was so big, I couldn’t even finish it. You can’t even taste the alcohol in it. Tastes just like sweet tea. Also, food is very inexpensive. You get such a great portion for the price.

Not at auspicious start. The booth they put us in was very narrow. I asked for a different booth, which was better. The atmosphere definitely not one for relaxing dining more akin to a bar type atmosphere. Naturally as soon as we got here they had to set some kids next to us. At least they weren’t the small screaming variety. The food seemed to take a while to get here. The food came out. I had the chicken Alfredo, which was quite good. Lee had the Djhon chicken and rice and mushrooms he said it was OK(food could’ve been a bit hotter). Not too bad but could use a quieter atmosphere.

Our server Michael was amazing. He was very professional, kind, and accomodating. He anticipated our needs. We didn’t have to ask for anything. The best service we have had in a long time.

Cheddars is an real nice looking Resaurant with really subpar food. My catfish was delivered undercooked. I had to send it back due to the smell. When management was contacted they were rude & not very professional. My mother & I have pledged to never grace the doors again. She ordered chicken that was just awful & dry. Never going again.

The food from Cheddars is delicious, but the service in the Murfreesboro location is atrocious. Our group waited for almost an hour before our server even took our meal order. And this wasn’t just a one time occurrence. The chain is definitely amazing and affordable. But I wouldn’t waste your time at this location.

Good for a chain restaurant; service was good, lots of variety for lunch. Haven’t been in several years, as they didn’t have location in Portland, but was just a decent as I remember.

This is perhaps one of my favorite restaurants in Murfreesboro. The food is always good and is at a reasonable price, so good value. The drink I always have, Texas Tea, is made well and worth the money. The staff are friendly everytime I go and make me feel welcome to keep coming back. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out or for a casual lunch.

I had a very good meal at a very reasonable price and will be back for more. A lot of comfort food and standards are served here. The customer service was polite and friendly. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. I know they are a chain but they do a great job of training and maintaining quality standards. The only issue is the long line that forms on the weekends!

When we first walked up to the front door of the restaurant I noticed that they had 4 large doors all being held open by young girls. It’s close to 100 degrees outside and all I can think of is the wasted air conditioning. Well, that was all I could think of until the girl holding the door in front of me let it close in my face as I was walking up to her. When the door shut it was about 8 inches from my nose. Sure, I was able to go through the other door, but it seemed pretty rude. She certainly saw us there. Either hold the door or don’t, but be careful about it. Regardless, I would have been fine with opening the door myself. Not sure the mentality of having four people on payroll to open a door at a place like this. We had no wait time, since our friends had already been seated and were waiting for us. I did notice 3 hostesses waiting inside the door. Our server was friendly, attentive without being annoying, showing genuine concern over our satisfaction. The food runner and one other server we interacted with were both friendly. The service alone was enough to make me want to return. Unfortunately, we never saw a single manager. It would have been nice if one came to the table to see how we were doing. The food was overall pretty good. I had a steak. The temperature was as ordered, but I felt as if they went a little light on the seasoning. I didn’t like the bed of onions that the steak was on, which almost immediately turned into a bunch of blood red noodles that reminded of an Eddie Murphy stand-up where he joked about the poor kid with the welfare burger that had ketchup soaked through white bread. The fries were fresh cut, skins on, and seasoned perfectly. My son is a cook. He had a bacon cheeseburger. From what I could see, they used thick cuts of bacon. He said it was cooked right and tasted«pretty good». My wife is from the south, and loved the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I sampled her chicken, and it seemed bland to me. The onion ring appetizer is gigantic, and excellent. Hand battered rings, with two sauces. The Cajun sauce should be spicier. Do not expect a craft beer selection. Overall: A little salt and pepper(cayenne for the Cajun stuff) can go a long way to improve some of these dishes. It feels as if the kitchen is afraid to season things. Get rid of all of the extra wait staff holding doors and bring in a proper front of house manager to improve service quality. I give 3 stars because the positives easily balanced out the negatives, and the price wasn’t bad at all. 3 people with 2 cocktails and a beer for about $ 55.

My wife and I had an opportunity to eat in Murfreesboro, so we asked a friend there if there is a good place to get a vegetarian meal. She told us about Cheddars. When we arrived, things looked very busy but our expected and actual wait time was about 15 minutes — acceptable for the amount of customers there today. We were seated and given good customer service by our wait staff, shown the menu and Taylor answered all our questions quite nicely. The vegetarian menu options were limited to spasagna(think lasagna made out of spaghetti) or a vegetable plate. We decided to go with the spasagna since neither of us had ever tried that before, along with house salad and tea. We should have gone with the vegetable plate as neither one of us could finish our spasagna — no problem there for portion size! The reason for 4 out of 5 stars: limited(2) vegetarian options for a chain restaurant that serves this many customers throughout the South.

Sad to see a lot of these reviewers leave such negative reviews… I try to eat local as often as possible, but I love Cheddars. I ate here(in an East Tennessee location) for the first time last year on Mother’s Day. Since then I’ve been a handful of times and have never had a bad experience or meal. My very first visit, I paid for my husband, my sister, my mom, and myself. We all got lunch entrees and I got a frozen adult drink with a sidecar shooter. I don’t remember the name of it as it has been over a year ago and I don’t normally order those kinds of drinks with my meal. I do remember it being really yummy and I also remember being the only person in our dining area to be drinking a mixed drink at 11am. Ha! I got the grilled fish tacos and they were good, but nothing out of this world. The one thing that shocked me was our check… For 4 of us, alcohol included, my bill was $ 41. I really thought something must have been left off but everything was there. We all left full and I spent under $ 50 for a table of 4. Wow! Fast forward to this particular location. We moved to Middle Tn at the beginning of the year. Before we had unpacked all of our kitchen cookware, we ordered to-go from this location 3 times within the first week. Ridiculous, but true. I order the same thing every time I eat here now. Lunch portion bourbon glazed salmon with rice(included), steamed broccoli, and a side salad with honey mustard &THEBESTCROISSANTEVERMADE. I love everything about this meal. The salmon is always delicious and pairs well with the rice & broccoli. The salad is always fresh and the dressing tastes as if they make it in house. I can’t say enough good things about those darn croissants so I really just don’t even want to go any further into it because I’ll want to go get one when I finish this review. Good food, great prices, nice staff. P. S. My husband usually orders the spasagna with marinara sauce and it is awesome.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I stick to what I know, which is their chicken tenders. If you get the entrée it comes with two sides, which is perfect because I can have their tasty fries and an even more delicious coleslaw. The chicken tenders are always very juicy and you can never go wrong with those. For dessert I got their cookie, and it is absolutely mouthwatering. If you have a sweet tooth make sure to try it out.

I had the worst experience ever with my friends. Food oil almost an hour and still wasn’t fully ready. My specific order of blackened salmon was all in pieces when I got it and not blackened at all. Server had an attitude with us after we complained about the situation and blamed the kitchen versus owning the situation. Server didn’t clear the table of old dirty plates until we brought it to his attention. It was a seriously bad experience. The manager on duty Brandon totally attempted to fix it but at that point I was completely put off by all the bad parts of the meal and didn’t even eat. Won’t be coming back
