A welcomed addition to Murfreesboro, Mayday has a great tasting room to take friends or a date. If you’re lucky, you might catch a band playing in the corner of the back room. The beer is wonderful as well. I had the Angry Readhead and the Boro Blonde, and was happy with both. Now with Über in Rutherford Co., I see myself going here again with more folks!

Great local beer . Relaxing weeknight atmosphere ‚ Fun on nights the bands play. Try to get in on a saturday tour . Ozzie, the owner and tour guide, makes them a blast. If you are in on a night with a small batch flavor, give it a try. They are usually really good. I recently had the jalapeño and was very pleasantly surprised

Mayday has some great local brews! If you like dark beers like myself, try the Evil Octopus. It’s honest to gosh the color of squid’s ink, but so heavy and delicious. Drinking a glass is sometimes equivalent to eating a full meal. The Angry Redhead is a great amber, and the Boro Blonde gives other pale beers a run for their money. The ambience is cool and hip and they often feature live music. The dining area has large family-style tables, and they more often than not have 1 – 2 food trucks right outside if you get hungry.

I had high hopes. But every beer I tried had an overwhelming amount of diacetyl. I think they have a great chance if they can overcome this problem. Upside is the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Went there for an event hosted by a club I am part of. The beers were just OK, nothing especially great to write home about. As a venue the place was kind of small. However what did surprise me was the food truck that they have contracted with. I forgot what it was called but it was really, really, good. I had ordered their Bruschetta and a steak and some fries. I know what you are thinking, Steak from a food truck? That’s what I thought too but I was hungry and was going to be there for a while so I figured why not. The steak was good, real good especially considering that it was cooked in a truck.

An absolute must while living or visiting Murfreesboro. Batch Brews are limited once released and worth the effort. Love the Arts be it Visual, Musical, and Culinary, «My Roots» rocks the food!

Can’t do it. I can’t get past their beers. They aren’t great. What can I do? OK. They have some rotators that are occasionally good. But it’s rare. They are usually NG also. The place is cool, and the people friendly. Live music and a food truck round out the staples for being a brew pub.

My buddies and I stopped by to check this place out(we’re all into craft beer) and had an awesome time! Besides great beer Ozzie the owner is fantastic! We took the tour, definitely the best ever(Ozzie is a riot!) the building has been put together really nice and the food from the cart out back was really good too. This a great place with great people, I highly recommend!!!

If you miss this spot in the Boro, you miss a true highlight. The atmosphere is great. located in a old warehouse with view-able vats, a tasting bar, patio, and bands playing regularly. They have a good selection from blondes to darks to some more bitter stuff. Velvet Hustle is a must try, boro blonde is also good. They don’t have an in house restaurant but the food truck parked by the patio is sincerely as good(if not better) than any other food in town. Great beer, great atmosphere, super friendly(and knowledgeable) staff.

I am a beer connoisseur, and I don’t say this lightly: Mayday makes the best beer in TN! The brewery itself is a groovy spot to try some new beers. They have 12 of their own to try on tap, t-shirts, hoodies, etc. Growlers are only $ 10 if you return your glass($ 5). My favorite is Angry Redhead.

«Beer, hugs and Rock and Roll». Yep, what more do you need. I’m not a hugger, so I avoided that one. But, the rock and roll theme is strong throughout. The beer is great, on tap all around town. I’ve been twice now. The first time was in the summer. Nice to be able to hang out on the deck outside. Live music from a local band. Food truck with really good food. Seating inside if you wanted air conditioning. Everything you need to hang out and have a good time. This time I took the tour with my son. Like other reviewers have said, this isn’t your typical brewery tour. I’d go again just to have someone else experience the tour. You can sample the four main beers on tap. See what’s fermenting for the next special beer. Photo ops everywhere. Entertaining! Don’t take the tour if you don’t love beer. Don’t take the tour if your offended by velvet boobs. You take this tour because of the beer and because Ozzy entertains you. Hell of a deal, $ 8 for a pint glass. It’s your own damn fault if you let it get empty.

Good beer. Adjacent food truck. Friendly and accommodating staff. It’s like a little bit of city life in the Boro. I strongly recommend it. Just wish they were open Sundays. Boo.

Not going to support them any longer if this is their marketing strategy: My boyfriend and I are heavily tattooed– with that being said, we were trying to enjoy an early morning at the Farmer’s Market when a scantily clad girl and a older man in short shorts approached us to advertise the Chicken and Jorts day… showing boobs and white old man legs to older people at 8am!!! Who thought that was a great idea?! Some of us are trying to prove heavily tattooed(even face tattooed) people are respectable humble people, not ignorant morons. Thanks for setting us back and dragging everyone tattooed or into to punk culture down a notch. Very immature and as highly inappropriate as you can get.

I love visiting breweries as I travel and luckily have this gem in my backyard. Seriously this little brewery is unique as it is fun. Lets start off by saying if you have been here, but not done the tour, then WHATAREYOUEVENDOING? The tour allows some much needed Ozzy time and nonstop refill of beer, I repeat NONSTOP. You can do what you want to with that, I used it to my advantage. I will also say I’ve been to brewery tours all over the states and never had the owner be the tour guide, let alone have a genuine interest for the people who come to visit. Beer, Velvet Boobies, and Good People are awaiting your arrival at Mayday Brewery.

My husband and our friends love this place. We have been a couple times now and we recently took the tour of the brewery. I really recommend the tour to anyone interested in mayday brewery; not just because you learn some about the brewing process, but because you will be guaranteed laughs and it is only $ 6 for a pint glass(yours to keep!) and all you can drink beer during the tour. What a deal! The owner, Ozzy, is figuratively and quite literally in your face during the tour, but that’s one of the things we really love about this brewery. You can tell he really cares about his business and the beer they make. And the ladies who drink it. Ha, seriously. This isn’t your typical brewery so it isn’t for someone who doesn’t have a sense of humor. My Roots food truck out back is pretty good too. I would like to see more veggie options on their menu though.

Starting off, we have been fans of Mayday Brewery ever since they opened, we love supporting a local business, and are proud of the breweries growth over the last year. We frequent the brewery as often as time/money allot, and took the tour on the same day J. A did, our third tour, and the largest group we had ever seen at the brewery. J.A: For someone who disliked Mayday so much, you took an a lot of photos, including one of myself with Ron Jeremy, thanks for including me in your scaving review. Had you listened during the tour, you might have learned that the brewery opened up a little over a year ago. They focus on crafting beer, not on unnecessary décor. The ‘crude drawing’ was created by a band who frequently plays at the brew house. The artwork on the walls, are contributed by local artists, Mayday is very supportive of local artists and music around Middle TN. The tour guide just happens to be the brewer himself. Whats wrong with a keg to serve beer? What would you expect them to use? This is a family owned operation, so of course its going to scaled down. What was so ‘technical’ about the brew chart? Sanitize, boil, strain and ferment. Try researching the brewing process before making such accusations. With respect to other breweries in Middle TN, Blackstone didn’t even give us a ‘tour’ when we visited, or even a beer tasting, only a six pack of their flagship beers on our way out. I have yet to visit Yazoo or Anarchy. However, I have toured Abita Springs. Although they have a much bigger brewhouse with more décor, the tour was very similar to the one you experienced at Mayday. You said very little of the beer itself, only of the building and tour, I can only assume you did not like it either. Perhaps you should go back to your Budweiser/Miller/Coors, which have the money to give you the ‘beer experience’ and ‘taste’ you desire, since you obviously cannot appreciate delicious craft beer. So, we will go on with our ‘ol’ time confederate, perverted, and illiterate NASCAR titty-bar charm’, while you enjoy your Bud Lights and golf. You won’t be missed.

If you’re looking for a ol’ time confederate, perverted, and illiterate brewery – shucks you found it son! The beer is not worth the trip from Nashville, nor is the décor. There are a dozen«paintings» of nude women decorating the brewing floor, along with a few dismembered mannequins dressed up as you might expect a dancer from the coyote ugly bars. Whomever gave the tour thought the ten-part schematic hardly describing the brewing process, was very technical for the audience(and perhaps it was). Then there was the grating sound of a young teen on a stack of shipping pallets daintily filing a piece of steel pipe. I’ll be he found it sticking out of the walls by the front entrance; the building has four walls and new paint, but looks more like a great location for Saw VII. I would go to turtle anarchy, blackstone and maybe even yazoo for a good local beer, without all of the NASCAR and titty-bar charm of Mayday.
