Tag’z is about as good as it gets! I am always treated as though I am an essential customer which means I never feel rushed and can talk through my meat preparation ideas with people who know what they are talking about. The meat is always top quality and obviously superior to anything that I have seen at a local grocery store. Calling ahead has worked really well for me but on Tuesday (they’re closed Monday) I will stop in for an an 8 lb. beef tenderloin for Christmas Eve grilling and pick up some pickled vegetables and stuffed olives too. I really enjoy Tag’z and can’t imagine why I wouldn’t support this local treasure!

My boyfriend and I have been looking for a butcher near Smyrna (since there are really none in town) where we can get some high quality meat. We found a couple places and decided to check them out. The store itself is pretty tiny and we drove right past it since it’s kind of off the road a little bit. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and seemed very knowledgeable about the different products they had. They have a Pick 5 combination deal for $ 39.99 that seemed like a good deal, but we weren’t looking to get that much food. We were kind of hoping there would be a bigger selection, but the quality was excellent and you can tell it’s fresh. We’ll definitely be back!

Best butcher in the Boro by far! Fresh meat and fish always and the nicest family you’d ever want to meet. I love going and getting tips from the owner on how to prepare my food. He has a lot of great ideas. They are simply the best!!!

Tagz meats in Murfreesboro is the place to buy all your meat and fish. It is family owned and they are always on site. Customer service is outstanding and the quality of their products are outstanding and always fresh. He will order anything special you want like a certain kind of fish. Make sure you stop and meet the family and have them cut you a great steak.
