The Humidor

In town for training and stopped in for a stick. I was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. The store attendant was knowledgeable and honest. I ended up watching the game and enjoying the small town feel of locals walking in and out. Looking forward to returning.

Here this past week. The Good: great selection of cigars and workers seemed friendly enough. 4 stars. The Bad: No formal lounge and 1 hour parking. You’re looking over your shoulder wondering when the parking lady is going to pull out the yellow envelope. Humidified store. Never been fond of this concept. It seems to work well here, even though there’s a powdery precipitate on everything. Overall 3 stars. The Ugly: I would’ve rated at least 3 stars until this boorish incident. I was looking at his Liga Privadas and asked what their box discount was. He said 15%. We discussed that taxes were close to 10 so you basically got 5% off retail and I was fine with that. I picked up a box of Feral Pigs and set them on counter. He looks at them and says he can’t discount Ligas. Really? You seen me looking at them when I asked, right? A nice sign saying there’s a limit would’ve been nice. Wouldn’t have bothered me. But don’t tell me one thing then back out because I picked up your prized posession. I put them back and dismissed the Melanios I found later. Apparently, stranger’s money isn’t good here. You get no second chances with a first impression. Next time I’m in town, I’ll just move on.
