My Dad was sent there and released a couple of days later. They basically said he was an alcoholic, which he is, he has no motivation to stop drinking and he’s clinically depressed. Their advice «Remove all the guns from his house.» They called me to come get him and I asked «Can he walk?.» The answer I received was «Yes, he’s been walking while he was here just not very far.» When I picked him up, he couldn’t even get in the car, much less walk or stand. It’s suppose to be a psych/​rehab/​senior friendly medical facility and they sent my Dad home to drink himself to death. In my mind that’s a form of suicide, deemed him fit to take care of himself and lied about his ability to walk. I wouldn’t leave my worst enemy in their hands.
