Excellent apps. Not standard cheap bar food. Fun atmosphere and really nice staff. Fried ravioli is fantastic. Great salads. Wings are burger were perfect.

Food was yummy. Excellent chicken wings. We tried Parmesan garlic. Music was awesome. Fun, local place to hang on a Friday night.
Second visit was as great as the first! Yummy fried ravioli. Delicious Chevelle’s Salad. Wonderful. Great live music.

Food is «usually» decent, nice atmosphere, good format, TERRIBLE SERVICE.
A group of us regularly met there on Wednesday nights… Usually 6 — 14 people.
Except for maybe 1 visit something was ALWAYS wrong with either my food, my order, or my check. I’ve had to go ask for my change after paying with cash. They’ve gotten my order wrong, or completely lost it. Several times i would order something i liked the time before, and it would be totally different, or missing something. It takes forever to get our food, additional rounds of drinks, and our checks. Customer service seems foreign to them. We decided it is not worth the hassle, and have taken our business elsewhere.

The staff seemed more concerned about complaining to each other about their day and half of them were constantly checking their cell phones. I had to wait 20 mins for a glass of ice water. No smiles no helpfulness. I will never go here again. Horrible staff!

This was our first time here. We have a friend who visits and watches the live entertainment.
He says he doesn’t usually eat there, just drinks.
We decided to give them one chance even after all the negative comments we have heard from other locals.
We walked in and the smell of grease is heavy, so be prepared. We were quickly seated. The place was empty except for six extremely loud and obnoxious locals surrounding a corner of the bar. One exceptional gentleman kept screaming that another patron was a yankee. Strike One. Not sure if that was good or bad? I think that war was over long before anyone at the bar was even a thought. And if the guy was from the north, he probably brings some class to this place.
We were sat at a table by the kitchen. They use white sheets of paper to cover the table.
On the paper in front of me, it looked like the paper was already used. Strike two. I didn’t like someone else’s spillage in front of me.
Well I was not pleased with the smell or anything on the menu. And thinking anything on the menu could taste like the place smelled was a turn off.
We parked at the Nantahala Bank next door. It was after 1730 and the bank was clearly closed. The only cars were the folks at the bar. There was a rustle and they all started scrambling to the parking lot. I ask if they really towed. The waiter says not usually.
Well, I knew whose car was worth the most in the lot and who would be towed first, so I went outside. With the gasp of fresh clean mountain air when I walked outside, I knew that I was not ever going back in there. I got in the car and we left.
I was planning on getting the Chevelle burger and the wife was getting the fish tacos.
If the waiter would have come back sooner, we probably would have placed an order and stayed.
Kind of glad we left… We ended up at our GO TO place.
Burger Boy!
Three stars might be high. However, I don’t feel I can honestly leave a food review.
So I will keep it right in the middle. You decide which way the rating should go.
This was definitely not a five star visit. There is no way I could ever give five stars after my encounter.

Had a burger, it tasted like it was cooked yesterday, kinda of the worse burger I’ve ever had, maybe I should have ordered something else?

I have been to Chevelles a few times before. I am not a sports bar kinda guy, but they had my team on TV, so my wife took me there for some «barfood» and Thursday Night Football! The service was excellent and helpful (they sat us with a view of 3 TV’s). The place is clean and festive.
Onion Rings were battered and delicious and not greasy. Hot wings were meaty and delicious. Crab cake was delicious as well. The cheesesticks were the best I have ever eaten and the fried ravioli were incredible.
I Love bread pudding. It was massive and a masterpiece! I am not a hater, but I hate fruit added to bread pudding (except maybe 3 or 4 raisins) which has seemed to be a trend lately. No peaches, coconut, apples, or raisins. Just simple and delicious bread pudding with a bourbon sauce that made me wonder when I will be back again!

This place was fun– we met friends for dinner one Sunday evening. The portions on the onion rings and bowls of chili were huge! I had the portobello burger with fries and coleslaw and I ate the whole thing! The only disappointment was that I did not leave room for the root bear float. I’ll be back, for sure, especially on a night when there’s live music!

First time here. Love the bartender, great food specials, plus multiple TVs. Everyone was nice. Whoever was negative on Unilocal was wrong. This is a place where I will return.

I remember when this place first opened years ago and thought it was great and they had a wide variety of options. Fast forward to the last 2 years when I moved to the area permanently, it really took a dive. The waitresses are always rude and seem to think their «good looks» will compensate for their horrible service. I am a vegetarian and they don’t really have any options for me except for this sad pathetic idea of a salad with a bunch of random stuff in it (seriously there is different things in it each time I have had it). I remember they used to have a black bean burger, soups, etc. My husband has had their burgers and says they are pretty mediocre and dry and the fries are always cold. One time when we went we could see our food sitting at the take-​out spot for minutes on end. I finally had to flag down our waitress to get it. I’m always hoping this place will turn around because it really used to be my go-​to spot years ago, but in the end I leave disappointed.

Rude servers, crappy bar food and a bad attitude towards out-​of-​town visitors. There isn’t a single redeeming quality about this place. Save yourself the trip.

Solid bar food, good service, very acceptable beer menu and the only place open past 10 pm makes Chevelle’s a must stop for anyone who doesn’t go to bed with the sun. I wouldn’t call it a gourmet gastropub, but it’s not trying to be. Chevelle’s was more than friendly to these non-​locals. We will be back.

Chevelles is not worth going to. The food is mediocre to bad. Worse than Applebees. Skip it and go to Daily Grind, Shoebooties, Red Brick deli or Doyle’s instead.

The worst food ever. Dry burger no flavor to the stake. Rude waitress. Horrible bathrooms. Good live music that was the best part.

.40 wings are great on. Wednesday, and Monday when football seasons for .50. Stop by and enjoy.

We are here for the weekend from Florida. Went to shoebooties café due to the reviews and the hostess was so snarky we left and came to chevelles. Great caramel apple martini. Took 27 minutes for fries and mozzarella sticks. Super slow service. I would pass it up next time.

We stopped in at this establishment because the front desk clerk at our hotel highly recommended it. Unfortunately we never got the chance to try it because no one ever acknowledged us while we stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes. It was a very slow night and from what I could see, there was no reason someone couldn’t have greeted us. We eventually left and drove over to Coaches Sports Bar where we were immediately greeted. We enjoyed the hot wings and talking with their very friendly bar tender.

I was just visiting the area. but how can I forget that amazing burger! I already can’t wait to go back. I had a great experience thanks to the awesome staff, especially the bartender! I think her name was Jen. I could tell she has her «regulars» which is the sign for a great bartender.

Very good burgers. The salad that comes with it is surprisingly good.
Lunch is much better that dinner for some reason.
A good go to place in murphy.

I have been there dozens of times (because there are not many nightlife options in the area).
The food is OK (normal for bars), the prices are on the high side for the mediocre food.
The service is fairly consistently poor, especially during busy times.
The owner, Thea, has NO concept of customer care. She knows that I have spent thousands of dollars there over the past ten years, but when I came in with my wife for a buy-​one-​get-​one-​free lunch special and her kitchen took 90 minutes to produce our food («we had a large party») and screwed up her order to the point where she could not eat it and we had no time left to do it over, what do you think she did?
She removed the «free» item from our bill and expected us to pay for the other one!
If you want to come for the entertainment, eat elsewhere first.
