I, too, was gifted a sample from a friend. Excited to get them, I was eager to try all of them. I love the Chipotle & Classic! I’m enjoying using them in both new recipes and to change up tried and true ones. The seasoning blends are very unique and flavorful. These are unlike any pre-made store seasoning. Go for it!

The Woodsman Seasoning is one of the greatest blends I’ve ever found. It’s made for game. I’ve been eating Venison and Elk my whole life, so at first I was leary about this seasoning, but it was AMAZING!!! Went perfectly with the wild game! My husband raved about it! I also bought the Jerk Seasoning, and the Lemon Pepper! All three of them are fantastic!!! I met Roy at the Bean Festival and he was such a nice guy and let me sample all his seasonings. He talked with us for a while and was as nice as can be!!! I wish I could have bought all his seasonings!!! Thank You Roy for making a seasoning for a hunter’s wife!!! :-)

I received a sample pack of seasoning for Christmas from a friend. I was so sad to get seasoning as a gift! Well I just placed an order for more island jerk seasoning. It is the best flavor. We use it on our lamb frequently. Im a new customer for life. Love it!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. I met«Roy» at the Placerville farmer’s market where he was hawking his wares — outlandlandishly priced seasonings that are basically re-branded spice blends that you can buy at Trader Joes or Walmart. I walked by Roy’s table and he fed me a line, something like, «you must be Italian, because so am I». I can’t say I really fell for it, but I ended up paying $ 7 for a bottle of Woodsman seasoning for meat, and giving Roy my email address because he said he needed it to send me a copy of my credit card receipt. He also asked me if I’d like to meet for coffee sometime before the Farmer’s market because he was always in town on the weekend to man his booth. I agreed, wanting to make a quck get away because he was making me feel uncomfortable. I never heard from him, but when I was barbecuing chicken one night, I reached for the bottle of spice, and thought that I’d Google the guy to see if he was legit. It turns out the guy is married, not only that, he makes a big deal on his website about how he started his spice company when his wife broke her ankle and he had to do the cooking. I wonder how many other women get the same line from Roy, and if he uses this to sell his wares. It kind of makes sense doesn’t it? Women are the ones doing the cooking usually, and they usually buy stuff at the farmer’s market. Maybe his wife is doing the same thing but with barbecue equipment. She’s at one farmer’s market, he’s at another, all on the same weekend. Maybe they even have their kids in on it. It could be that his wife doesn’t know what Roy is doing, or maybe he’s not even married. The possibilities are endless. But this guy is a scammer. Save your money and make your own spice blends, its easy and quite fun. This is just another example of how people in the Gold Country will take advantage of you if you’re not careful.
