Jennifer catered a buffet dinner for 65 at our home this past weekend. What a true professional. From the menu to the rentals, to the staff, the setup, the takedown… everything was just perfectly done. Food was outstanding. Service and style just first class. She steered me in the right direction every step of the way; she is obviously very experienced.

OMG I love this place!!! My maid of honor and I went there for lunch last weekend and our lunch was amazing! The food was so fresh, not greasy at all and just super tasty! I saw this restaurant set up at a bridal show and I knew I had to visit! So glad I did because it was scrumptious!!! I would 100% recommend it to everyone! :] Yay for yummie food!

Love Jen’s place for lunch! I would say that this is the best place for lunch in Murphys, the only drawback is the teeny tiny location. But on a sunny, beautiful day it is quite nice to sit outdoors and enjoy the weather and good food. The menu is pretty long for such a small place, and the food is delicious! I appreciate that there are quite a few vegetarian options, such as eggplant sandwich, homemade(yum!) veggie burger, and an incredibly good(and garlicky) Thai salad with tofu(also available with chicken). You can also get your food to go, which is good for days when the weather isn’t so nice.

I drop by for lunch with my husband and kid. I really like the restaurant’s atmosphere and décor. It remind me of south of france. And the way food is present is impressive, like a soup is in a glass in a some kind of small basket(I like it). My sandwich is good. Highly recommended this place. Will drop by again. somehow I love that outdoor seating.

Chef Jennifer Wren’s newest endeavor is well worth a visit off Highway 4 in Murphys. Former creator and owner of Alchemy Market and Wine Bar, Wren has what it takes to keep this eatery fresh. Changing menus; local and seasonal food; and a flair for whipping up new creations. Stand out soups: The curried Butternut Squash, Creamy Tomato and Basil with Parmesan, and the Clam Chowder are all worth a try. They all smell as appetizing as they taste. Salads and Sandwiches: The Thai Salad with rice noodles, red and green cabbage, cilantro and peanuts drizzled under a spicy ginger garlic dressing is a must-try. I’m a fan of swapping out just about every salad with the light and yummy Hibiscus dressing. The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich is a standby. Served on a rustic roll with coarse mustard. Equally good is the crab cake sandwich with corn. Vegan/veggies/gluten-free(w/o the bun) lovers should sample the housemade Veggie Burger with Vermont Cheddar and Chipotle Mayo. Pizza breads rotate and the Focaccia bread under caramelized onions, Kalamata olives, Parmesan cheese, and capers is scrumptious. Save room for dessert with fresh Persimmon pudding with walnuts and lemon curd whipped cream. Homemade gingerbread pudding with caramel sauce is a holiday dessert worth looking out for next year. Apples with puffed pastry with rum sauce will leave you wondering how you ever survived without them. Sit outside in the sun or take a lunch to go. Tell your friends, there is stellar eating in town!

Always on the lookout for new places to dine, I was really excited to learn about the opening of Wren Creative Foods. Jennifer Wren is a popular caterer in the Murphys area. She is known for her use of organic and/or locally grown produce, which many people appreciate. I was in Murphys this past weekend and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is actually more of an eatery. There are a few tables on the patio, perfect for enjoying the lovely weather we’ve been having. Unfortunately there are no tables inside, but there is a small counter area where customers may choose to enjoy a quick bite to eat. Since I was on a time constraint, I ordered my meal to go. I selected the veggie burger, which was definitely homemade. It was served on ciabatta bread with chipotle mayo and mixed greens. It undoubtedly had a kick to it, but was very tasty. Of course, I like food that has a little bit of heat to it. Service was über quick, which was greatly appreciated. The selections include a variety of salads and sandwiches as well as some pretty tasty looking desserts. The eatery is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am to 3pm, and open until 8pm on Thursdays. Next time I look forward to trying the grilled portabella sandwich… and maybe one of their yummy looking desserts! ;)
