This is the cutest little place you could go. I went here with a couple of my friends on Fourth of July, and everyone was so pleasant. The owner of the restaurant actually came out and talked to us a little, and since we were from out of town, he told us about some places we had to check out and a good fireworks show for that night. The food itself is really good too. There’s just nothing not to love about this place. It’s adorable.

It’s a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. The meat sandwiches are the main focus point of this place. Whether it’s the Big meaty monster or the Reuben sandwich and anything in between, the sandwiches are scrumptious. Fries are always hit and miss with me, my friend love these fries however I didn’t care for them. It’s just a matter of personal taste and I like crispy fries these ones are fluffy. The baked beans are tasty and the cheese sticks for the appetizer or breaded wonderfully. But as a tip if this is your first time coming in you have to get the big meaty monster. To make it better add bacon.

Fantastic place to buy meat! Great service with a very friendly and welcoming staff. I love their side pork and as a restaurant and deli they offer delicious sandwiches. My personal favorite is the big meaty monster, but I have not had anything that wasn’t delicious from Jack’s. They are the perfect place for your meat and deli needs or for lunch or dinner. My only complaint is they are closed on Sunday and Monday, but when they are open they are the best in Southern Illinois!
