Salad bar(?) was inadequately filled, with several selections entirely depleted, leaving few good choices. Other side of the salad bar had things like pastas and a stroganoff, but again, wasn’t kept filled, and food that was there wasn’t truly HOT like it should have been. One of my biggest gripes is the place was kept super dark. It was so dark, we couldn’t even read the signs posted over the salad bar to tell what they had. Had to pull out the cell phone and use the flashlight to figure out what we might be digging into. Were they rationing electricity or what? It certainly didn’t adda positivemood when we struggled to see. The meats served were OK, but highly salted and half of the offerings were over cooked & dry. Caution on the spicy chicken: it’s merely grilled chicken with raw Frank’s sauce poured over it. Not good and way too spicy. If I wanted to eat Frank’s sauce that much Frank’s sauce, I could pour it out of the bottle and onto a spoon myself. Even the grilled pineapple was rough because they didn’t bother to peel it before they grilled it, and sliced it & served it with the rind right on it, minus any yummy seasoning or brown sugar. Just hot pineapple. I will say the young men who came around and served us the meat were pleasant, polite and friendly. Unfortunately they won’t get many tips working there. Dinner was approx. $ 50 for 2 with sodas. and over-priced for what we got. I won’t go back.

My wife and I come here almost monthly — it isn’t quite the selection of a place like Tucano’s, but is consistently very, very tasty. Great meats, salad bar is decent, and the service is quite good. Live music on Friday nights! Always fairly busy when we are there, and we always leave stuffed. Meaty goodness!

In comparison to all the other Brazilian steakhouses in Utah, this is the best location. All the servers are extremely friendly and genuine. The restraint carries an authentic feel as all the employees are Brazilian. The salad bar options are delicious and well prepared. It really blows Tucanos and the other Brazilian steakhouse out of the water. Being raised by Brazilian parents, this is as close you can get to the real taste of Brazil.

Wow!!! They just get better over the years! Every piece of meat was just delicious and perfectly cooked. The Brazilian Limeade is to die for too. If you love Brazilian food then this is a must try! P. S. They have stroganoff!

I’ve eaten here many times and have yet to be disappointed. Great service, great food, great atmosphere all managed by someone who cares and priced just right. I love the selection at the salad bar. The meat comes to the table at frequent intervals, is tender and as always, tastes great. Love the live authentic Brazilian music in the back ground consisting of one guy on guitar and vocals. Over the past few years this has been my first choice for Brazilian food in Salt Lake City for me.

Came to this restaurant this afternoon(1÷5÷15 at around 3:30). The restaurant was empty except for two diners in the back. My dining companion and I stopped at the host stand and kind of looked around before asking the young man attending to the meat if we needed to wait to be seated or if we seat ourselves. He said he didn’t know but that someone would be out soon. A girl came out relatively soon and took us to a booth near the back. Like other restaurants with this concept, she asked us if we’d been here before. We told her no, to which she simply nodded and collected the extra plates and walked away, My dining companion and I kind of sat there awkwardly for a moment before opening the drink menu she left us with. But then she came back to explain how the restaurant worked and the price, which kind of should have been done before she walked away, then instead of asking us if we would like to order a drink she simply told us she’d be back to get our drink order and left. Since we already knew what we wanted to drink before she left us, and not wanting to wait for her to come back before we went to the salad bar, we checked out the offerings at the salad bar, which were actually pretty decent and varied. They have quite a bit of pre-prepared hot foods, some prepared salads, and then stuff to make a green salad out of. I would say the salad bar was kind of middle of the road. Nothing to write home about, but pretty decent. Getting back to our table, the server came back to get our drink order(two waters and a beer). The young man serving the meats was nice, but he seemed kind of awkward. Our server wasn’t very attentive and her interactions with us seemed a little off. Honestly, ‘Awkward’ was the prevailing theme of our visit. Unfortunately, the meat was not very good and pretty dried out. Half of what we were served simply wasn’t edible because it was too well done and seemed old. As we started to get to the end of our meal we asked if he could bring over one particular meat we actually enjoyed. He then proceeded to bring five different meats to our table before bringing the requested meat. We did notice that suddenly fresh meat seemed to be coming out when a new ‘meat server’ came on shift, but by then we were basically ready to go. It took our server a while to come over to our table and despite the fact that we were sitting there, not eating, and simply waiting, I don’t think we would have gotten our check if we didn’t specifically ask for it. Our server wasn’t big on asking us questions. Overall, our experience was awkward and kind of uncomfortable at times. The meat was the worst part of the meal, which isn’t very promising if that’s what you’re coming for. The staff wasn’t unfriendly… but… the service was awkward and clunky. The whole experience was just kind of disappointing. I can’t say that I would recommend this place to anyone. I’d probably tell anyone who asks to not bother with this place. I probably won’t be back unless someone else is paying and wants to go there.

I had the worst experience with my daughter there. They ignore you and only have 2 waitresses and 2 meat servers at their busiest time. It was bad from the start, waited to be seated, rude waitress, bad service. The meat was over cooked and slow to come, not to mention very few choices. Will not go back

Very very good food. Meat is cooked over mesquite coals. Nicely Caramelized outside juicy inside. I am allergic to soybean oil and the owner went out of his way to make accommodate me. After he came by asked how we liked our food and what we thought he could do better. Always looking to improve. Impressive.

I had the worst experience with my family there. They were rude and did not care about loosing customers. We had 11 people plus a baby and they didn’t care about our inconvenience. When I asked the manager if he would rather loose 11 customers, he said that was okay. There restaurant was completely empty and they didn’t want to take us because of certain policies. The 2 Brazilian ladies and the manager were so rude I have never had the need to post a review in my life but this was just completely unacceptable. I will never go there, I would rather go to Rodizio where they have the best staff and support.

I have been to most of Brazilian restaurant in SLC, and this one is my favorite. The owner is very friendly. Me and my boyfriend are regular here, the owner came and said hi. He remembered our favorite is chicken hearts, he ordered for us 3 orders separately from the grilled. All the staffs are friendly, attentive and they are all Brazilian. That makes the place very authentic. Their meat are juicy. The pineapple is also good. I like the salad bar and their hot dishes such as broccoli and cheese, or mushrooms and onion, etc… Give it a try and you will like this place.

Came here because there was a groupon available so I thought it would be. Great place for dinner. Also everytime I drive on state street I would pass this place. So I decided to give it a chance. This place is like all the other Brazillian restaurant where it is an all you can eat meat place. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday night and this place was empty. This is the first time I saw a Brazillian restaurant this empty. My friend asked me if I am sure it is good because no one was eating here. Now on to the food. The salad buffet is sorta small compare to the other places and the hot stuff is places in this weird location where opening and closing the lid is a bit hard to do without burning yourself. The fried bananas that I had from there tasted like green bananas, they were unsweetened and had that weird green banana taste to it. The meat that they serve, hands down my favorite is the spicy beef(even though there was nothing spicy about it), there is this lime sour taste to it. The roasted chicken just tasted like a mouth full of charcoal, because it is really burnt. The meats were super dry. I had to chug down a couple of glass of water before continuing. The meat service was super quick. Maybe because my table was the only one eating right then and there. The meats was serve by two people and they would come one after another. My friend and I ran out of space to put our cuts of meat. Our waitress though seem to have disappeared and didn’t even come by until my friend went to find her to get the bill. When my friend came back he said they were all huddled in the front having a meeting. All in all, I don’t think I would be returning here. Being empty during dinner rush tells a lot about a place, but also experiencing the food and service… well…yeah I rather rodizio, Texas de brazil or even tuscanos.

The food here is good but not my favorite. The restaurant is kind of small and their customer service is okay. Nothing special for me.

Good Brazilian restaurant if you want lots of good options buffet style. They cater for events or you can buy extra things to take home. Somewhat expensive.

The service really is a hit and miss. My husband and I was sitting close to the grill and guy preparing the meat was rude as possible, cursing and throwing the f** bomb every 2 minutes yelling on the others employees. Off course I was more terrified than people around me because I believe i was the only Portuguese speaker. How come people feel so comfortable saying whatever they want just because they think nobody else speak a second language but them? We payed our bill and left. Very unpleasant experience! I went to Braza Grill many other times sometimes before .Some was better than others but after last visit on Saturday, August 22nd, I don’t think we are going back anymore. I am giving 3 stars based on the last 10 years I’ve been there. The owner is a very nice person its a shame his employees doesn’t follows his steps.

This place was delightful, great for people who love meat! I really loved their garlic steak and chicken. All of the staff there were so nice and friendly. The owner even stopped by to see how everything was. I think that was a very nice touch. I have been to other brazilian grills like Rodizio Grill and Tuscanos, which are more expensive and I personally think Braza was better and cheaper! They have more variety of meat and I just really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the music going on. I didn’t really care too much for the buffet, but I was there for the meat anyways and once the buffet was restocked, I thought it was better. Only recommendation would be to make sure and keep the buffet stocked.

First off — I’d like to congratulate Braza Grill for being my 100th review. I know it’s a great honor so I’ll try to keep this memorable. I didn’t have any of the negative experiences that were highlighted in the previous reviews. The hostess was prompt and friendly and cute, the server was fine. She refilled our water once and checked on us 3 times — goes with industry standard. Once to make sure food is ok, once to refill beverages and an extra for the check. I didn’t find the Meat Men(ooooh yeah) to be lazy at all! They were super fast and efficient. We almost never were wanting for their long thick meats. On that note, the meats were good. Some were fantabulous, and some were MEH. My husband liked the glazed ham and the sirloins the best. I rather enjoyed the spicy chicken. I found out that I like fried bananas — and that’s were my enjoyment of the buffet deal ended. I really didn’t like anything I got from that. My husband said the mashed potatoes were decent. Since neither of us have had Brazilian Food, we have nothing to compare it to so I apologize for that. So A for effort and service. I think that buffet needs work and the price is way to high. For the two of us and one beverage it was $ 52. My husband mentioned that he would’ve rather had the cheese cake factory for that price and he felt this was more of a $ 35 for two price range. He was also not impressed with my $ 5 coconut limeade. I thought it was good it he thought it was gross. But the man hates fruit so I don’t know how trustworthy his opinion is on anything that isn’t Meat, Gluten or Dairy. I will conclude by saying you should give this place a shot if you’re feeling like changing things up and you have 50 bucks you wanna blow. This place would probably suit a first date perfectly!!!

Had lunch here with a group. We came a little before the typical lunch time to avoid any rush and we were seated right away. It took a little while for the meat to start making the rounds, it made me think they want you to fill up on salad first. When the meat started arriving I was a bit disappointed in the bite size portions of meat that they cut for you, so I knew we would be here awhile. The meat was just ok. Most of the meat was fatty, overcooked and much of it tasted similar. The meat tasted like cheaper, lower quality cuts and some of it tasted like it sat in the fridge for a week before cooking.

Went on a Friday night which included live music which just enhanced the chill, sophisticated vibe of the restaurant. I had only been to Texas de Brazil in Vegas, and frankly, for $ 20 I wasn’t expecting too much. Reading some of the other reviews on Unilocal,I noticed that there were complaints about the service, or lack thereof. Whether I went on a good night or the management has made a concerted effort to improve service, I was very very impressed with the service. The servers were prompt and even remembered whether we preferred the meat cooked medium rare or medium. Even who I believed to be the owner went from table to table and asked how the service was and what improvements could be made. The food itself was also fantastic. We sampled just about everything and requested an order of lamb. Top 5 meats: Top Sirloin, Spicy Chicken, Grilled Chicken, Turkey wrapped in Bacon, and Ham. Both of the chickens were unbelievable. A little salty, but the tenderness and flavor were amazing. The grilled pineapple and lamb were also highlights. My experience at Braza Grill was nothing short of exceptional. The quality and variety of meats falls short of that at Texas de Brazil, but service is just as good. However, when it comes to value, I don’t think there’s any competition. For 40% of the price at Braza, I can get superior service and an experience/quality of meat almost as good.

In my humble opinion… The reason Braza Grill has been in the SLC area for nearly ten years is because they’ve focused on a «type of churrascaria» that we find in many parts of the interior of Brasil, from the states of Goias to Minas Gerais. This is what I would call a «Blue-Collar» restaurant. Void of the corporate input, and privately owned by a gentleman from Sao Paulo, it provides rodizio style dining, without the pretense I find in the $ 50 per client churrascarias around the US. Braza consistently delivers«economical Brasilian dining» with a good salad bar selection that any Brasileiro would recognize and appreciate. Can you pay more in town and get more? Yes. But if you know the many levels of churrascarias that exist in Brasil, and you realize that not all are going to be like Fogo de Chao… than you’ll be «way-OK» with Braza. Our family is Brasilian-American, and we travel home often. In Goiania, near one of my brother in law’s homes, there’s a restaurant around the corner from his condo that is nearly identical to Braza, and has a very similar BBQ area, with a large salad bar. The difference there is that you pay by the«Kilo», which is great. You can load up on all the meat you want, along with a huge salad bar selection. If Braza were to offer«by the Kilo»… I bet they’d still do very well. And maybe even better? These«by the kilo» restaurants are very popular lunch-diners, and do a huge noon-hour business. FYI … just remembered when Unilocal-chatting with fellow Unilocaler Rohlin… When in Los Angeles, check out«Pampas Grill» at the Farmer’s Market-The Grove, Fairfax and 3rd St. It’s a «pay by the kilo/pound» style Brasilian open-air café’.(see the Unilocal reviews) As others have shared, Braza is casual and family friendly. I noticed a renovation from the very first visit I made on a business trip shortly after they opened. I like the new layout, and very much enjoyed seeing the owner run the BBQ area. His gauchos/servers were highly attentive this Wednesday at 630pm, and we were«wanting for nothing» as far as the meats were concerned. In summary, I certainly would recommend Braza to any of our family or friends visiting the SLC area.
