What a blast! Over too quickly, but all good things come to an end. Lots of wildlife and local lore to learn.

I loved this. We saw a lot of alligators on the way. The tour guide/captain was very polite and informative, and they had great jokes. Very punctual and on time. Really fun and cozy place to be, gift shop and boat alike. I loved it! I took two boat tours while I was there. This one, and the one at Brookgreen Gardens. I suggest them both!

Maybe unfairly, I am comparing this airboat tour to the airboat tours I took in the Everglades. It doesn’t quite match up. The captain was great… super informative, and willing to talk as much as we wanted about the area. Unfortunately, he didn’t really zoom that boat around, which I really hoped he would. I don’t know, maybe the rules are a little more strict in SC than they are in FL. We didn’t see any animals other than turtles. I would have loved to see a few gators, but the ride was nice anyway. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in the area with the caveat that you should try an airboat ride in the Everglades, too.

Just finished the 9;00 am airboat ride — AMAZING– in my opinion it is a must when visiting Pawley’s island!

FUN, fun, fun… doesn’t even begin to describe going on an air-boat ride. It is an exhilarating adventure. I recommend this to anyone that would like to try something out of the everyday«norm». You will explore the backwaters in search of wildlife(alligators!) and the scenery is framed by cypress tress draped in moss. The ride costs $ 40.00 for one hour. Its a little expensive, but for this experience, it is well worth the money. I cannot wait to do it again.
