The decision of adding a new inground pool to your home is a big one. More difficult yet is finding the right contractor to build it. After searching the internet and going through multiple contractors we finally met Dustin Phillips. Unlike other experiences during the search, Dustin was a phone call away and, within a day we signed a contract.(Which is out of character for us) What I didn’t tell the contractors including Dustin, was that my father was a major pool builder in Orange County during the late sixties through the early eighties, in other words I knew what to look out for. Dustins ability to walk the job and immediately determine what’s needed to complete it is amazing. His calm demeanor, even while dealing with a control freak like myself, was very reassuring during the project, and if he uses the expression«it’s gonna be cool.» Believe it. We are waiting to add photo’s until the landscaping and new fencing are in, to show off the fine pool and masonry work of Dustin Phillips pools. Thanks for making the dream happen! P. S. The pool had to be a hand dig do to access problems, it was an difficult undertaking and came out great!

First — Dustin Phillips Pools did not do any work for me, this is a review on my experience in contacting his company. We originally had coordinated to have him do some work on our existing pool. He was very busy and after scheduling conflicts he referred us to another company. In our conversation I remember him telling me he had a company he was going to have do the work if that was ok but it was his name etc… Dustin says he did not sublet the work, only referred us to companies I could call. Nonetheless, the work was not done right in one area and a rust patch that was covered was not sealed properly and has come back in the same place only a few months later. I called Dustin to talk about it and left a voicemail. After calling a few more times, I blocked my number and he answered. I told him who I was and he immediately told me he did not contract with me. I began to explain the situation and discuss our call and he cut me off, told me he didn’t have time to talk with me about it and hung up on me. When he did call me back(I assume because I had written a different review that I’ve since deleted) he left me a scathing voicemail(that I’ve kept) letting me know how the«real» situation went down and then let me know if I said ANYTHING about his company he would sue me for slander. I called him back to talk with him and he spent 8 mins and 10 seconds SCREAMING at me ultimately telling me that the other company he referred me to would be witness for him in court and I «better remove anything I’ve written by the time he got home» or he would contact his attorney who would serve me «TOMORROW» with papers and he would sue me for the fullest and most money he could; $ 250,000, for financial costs the review cost him in business. He said he was a big company and was I sure I knew what I was getting in to. I deleted the post and then realized, I have the right to express my opinion on a customer service issue/call I had in contacting his company. This was my own personal experience in dealing with Dustin.
