LEX Salon & Spa

It’s been three days since my visit to LEX and I needed those three days to really process and evaluate my experience with the haircut and the salon in general. I am a mother of young children so a salon visit is serious business but one that should also be fun, too. I like my new cut and I enjoyed the complimentary massage and mimosa. But I cannot return for another visit. I felt overwhelmed by the product sales push and the a la carte approach to hair service. I like the people at LEX, despite their exhaustive efforts to make me buy everything in the store. I believe in the Apple Store approach to a wonderful salon experience. Make the visit fun, make me feel good, and give me your best service whether I spend a little or a lot. If I have fun then I will return again and again and spend spend spend.

I have not cut my hair in about 5 years. I’ve done the usual trim but nothing past that. I was terrified to do anything but they made me feel so confident and every single step was broken down for me. It was so nice too see they were more concerned about my needs instead of selling me products and services. I highly recommend this salon!

Amazing!!! So I decided on a whim to do something different with my hair this morning. I have never really been happy with any stylists I have seen the last 6 years I lived here. I always went down to Oceanside/​Carlsbad to get my hair down, but I was determined to find someone here. I whipped out my phone and started searching. And I found Lex Salon that was open on a Sunday! I called to try to make an appointment and I was greeted by Giovanni. He was very informative and tried to assess what I wanted over the phone, which meant that they are really trying to take care of their client. I went in and was greeted and immediately was sat down. The salon is beautiful and so clean. I met my stylist, Maimunah, who was super sweet and nice. She went over the consultation and what I wanted. She then went over pricing, which I was at first taken back but decided that if I wanted the job done right that it will be worth it. Well it was well worth it!!! She did amazing. I don’t think I have ever been so happy about a haircut/​color. I walked out of there smiling. If you come here, please see Maimunah. She is wonderful and Giovanni was great too. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair as I have since Alexa has been doing my hair. she never cuts too much off and the complimentary services are amazing. I love this salon.

Wow! I felt like a VIP right when I walked in. Everyone is super friendly and extremely professional. I have never had anyone spend so much time trying different tricks to lift my strawberry blonde to super blonde (almost 4 hours!). Melise was fantastic. She listened to what I wanted and definitely did everything to make sure it was done perfectly. Sure it took a while, but you expect that with going from darker to way lighter. The color I had wasn’t budging and Melise made sure I left with exactly the color I was looking for. Guess what? I certainly did leave with the color I wanted. I already booked my next appointment and I am excited to go back for product this time as well.

All in one salon where they make you feel like a queen for an affordable price. I especially love their blowout membership special. I hope they decide to expand to Corona where I will be moving :)

Excellent customer service! New client at LEX but an old client of Kaley’s. I was greeted right when i walked in, felt like a VIP with their service! Friendly staff, nice and clean inside. I’ll definitely visit Kaley more even just for a blow dry lol I’m a busy mom and today was my time off for myself so thank you for a wonderful experience!
As usual, Kaley did an amazing job! Thank you for taking care of my hair! It needed your tlc lol!!! My husband loves my new do!

I have not trusted for someone to do my hair since the last time someone screwed my hair up, 7 years ago! I took the plunge and decided to go to this salon and give them a try. I have to say everyone here was AMAZING! Connie did my hair and she definitely knows what she is doing and what she is talking about. The atmosphere is awesome, and everyone is so freindly. There were a couple hiccups that are not drastic enough for me to state but they were fixed immediately. I would recommend this salon to anyone!

Alexa is the best stylist in Southern California!!! My hair seems to be quite difficult to cut for some very odd reason. I have been searching for a knowledgeable, professional and talented stylist for years now. Having been a hair model for Rusk, Toni & Guy and other top stylists, I tend to be very particular regarding my hair. Alexa managed to provide the very best cut that I have ever had in my life time. No exaggeration! The cut required minimal styling, naturally laid perfectly and grew out beautifully. Alexa is the only person that I have found that I will ever trust with my hair. She is amazing and talented!!! Her technique is flawless, she listens and understands exactly what the client is requesting, she goes above and beyond to make every person feel welcome, relaxed and happy. She has cut and styled, provided the Aveda version of a Brazilian Blowout that is healthier, and colored my hair using a Balayage Ombré technique after extensively consulting me on the techniques to be sure I would receive the exact desired effect. My hair is absolutely gorgeous every time and I always feel amazing after Alexa works her magic. Alexa has my complete confidence and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an incredibly talented stylist that listens and strives to provide exactly what the client is looking for! Alexa opened the LEX Salon & Spa and it is amazing!!! The atmosphere is relaxed and positive. The stylists are all very talented and up to date on technique. I highly recommend!!!

Ok here we go!!! I have a huge interview Wednesday of next week and called Alexa for an appointment. She was booked and out of town until next Wednesday. After a brief conversation She asked if I could come in on Wed. morning at 8:15 AM (she doesn’t open till 9:00 AM)!!!

This salon has definately made a positive impression on me! Very welcoming staff and relaxing atmosphere. LEX Salon & Spa most definately stands behind their business motto and goes the extra mile with making you feel pampered and well attended to. I have never had this kind of pampering by any other salon anywhere around here. I came in for a cut and finishing style with Alexa. Let me tell you, she is awesome! She gave me the perfect cut, and gave me her suggestion about where to start my first layer for my long hair. She did such a beautiful job! She even gave me some curling tips so I can re-​create the same curl at home.
Talking with her about possibly dying my naturally long red hair because of seeing some slight greying at part, I realized just how much color experience she has.
Because of my unique natural color of hair she explained how she would do do it and the whole process. So… when I decide to color my hair, I would definitely go to Alexa!

Gorgeous Salon. Each person is so professional and completely experienced. From start to finish, I I am spoiled each time I get my hair done starting with a scalp massage followed by my shoulders then when my conditioner was put on a hot towel was added to my head and I was given an arm massage. Connie has done my color for a year now and it comes out perfect every time. Highly highly recommend.
The owners are so wonderful and attentive.

Alexa has been my go to stylist for a while and I told her wherever she goes I go. I was so excited to hear she opened her own shop. My first visit in Lex Salon pwas today. Her salon is amazing. You walk in and you feel nothing but good vibes. The deco and atmosphere just makes you feel like you’re in a good place. It has a sheik and sophisticated feel to it.
I walked in and was greeted right away. I didn’t feel out of place at all. Someone is there to provide you with refreshments right away. Then of course they start you off with a little head and back massage while you wait for your main service.
Overall my first experience here was excellent. Alexa is amazing at what she does!!! She’s always on point with the color and cut I’m looking for. She knows what’s up and as long as she’s around styling I’ll be one of her main customers.
