Loren and Rachel Scott are the best there is. They are very professional and extremely talented! They have a unique ability to capture those moments that are personal and breathtaking. Every time I look through my FABULOUS wedding photo book, I feel like I’m reliving each moment because of the quality and experience behind each and every shot. Not only are they very talented at what they do, they are also kind and personable. I had a great time, not only because my pictures are fantastic, but because I plain just like being around them.

Loren Scott is a very talented photographer; my husband and I are very pleased with the quality of pictures that were taken for our engagement session and wedding day. We were married on October 13^th in Temecula.
However, the service from Loren and Rachel was not anything to write home about. We met Loren via Skype in January since our schedules didn’t really mesh during the time we were trying to book a photographer. He was really friendly and we were really excited to have him photograph our special day. If I had realized Rachel was such a large part of the business at that time, I would have asked to meet her as well.
The engagement shoot was a bit of a hassle (but no fault of Loren or Rachel). The park in Murrieta that was recommended by them ended up having a strict permit rule (and a rather not sensible security guard), so we weren’t allowed to take pictures there. Just FYI — it was called Santa Rosa Plateau. We drove about 20 minutes up the road to a different park and got some amazing pictures. Wouldn’t have been such a hassle to us if we didn’t have our (then) 3 month old son with us.
The wedding day came and went without any big issues. He got most of the pictures we requested and were happy.
The main issues we encountered with Loren and Rachel were after the wedding. We had some correspondence about the photobook that was included in the package we purchased. Don’t want to ramble on, but there were mistakes made by them and us. Loren called me and basically told me that the mistake they made was an oversight and we could pay $ 200 for a new book. One of our favorite pictures was missing from the book and I was really bummed. There was one incorrect photo used in the book as well, but that was due to my typo when sending them the list. I was hoping there was a little room for negotiation on that $ 200 price tag, but apparently there was not. My husband called Loren the next day, after we had thought about it, and asked if we could negotiate it a little. He told him that he felt they had done enough for us, and that was their final offer. He also told my husband that other customers in the past were not as picky about this. Let me be clear — pictures are my life. Look at my Facebook account if you need proof. I did not want to look at this book in 30 years and be mad that it wasn’t right.
In my opinion, if the photographer made a mistake on the photobook that we paid a pretty penny for in the first place — it should be correct. Being in a service-​oriented and referral heavy industry, you would think they would handle that in a better manner.
Anyway — we decided to order the new book (and it is now perfect). I emailed Rachel the exact details of the changes needed. She got it taken care of, and quickly. However, never really got an apology for the inconvenience or mistakes that were made. I’m happy that our experience with them is now done. Pictures are great, but service could use a lot more attention!

I called this photography studio to get maternity pics done. Unfortunately, I never received a call back. I understand it was the weekend when I called, and they maybe had a shoot but come on! A week later and no call back. I will take my money elsewhere. I called other studios and received calls back that day! Take a hint Loren & Scott, return your potential customer calls!!!

Let’s get to the point here: LOREN AND RACHEL SCOTT are extremely talented and AWESOME!
Where to start? Well my husband and I were looking for a photographer who fit our style and out budget for our wedding on 2-​21-​2009. We stumbled up on his website and feel in love with the pictures alone. Not only was his portfolio AMAZING, so was the fact that you could create a custom package. No need to settle for the generic ones that others offer. This is what we LOVED, we didn’t have to settle for some generic package. So we called and set up an appt. to actually see what him and Rachel were all about. From the very start Loren and Rachel were laid back but also very professional, they answered all our questions and concerns about how we wanted things to be done starting from the E-​session up to the day of the wedding. They showed many many different samples of paper to wedding books etc. My husband and I are visual people so this helped a lot and SOLD US to book with them. We decided for our E-​session to be at Laguna beach, it was so much fun. They both made us feel like comfortable and natural. The weather on the other hand wasn’t perfect BUT when we saw our proofs you couldn’t tell, Rachel is AWESOME! When the wedding day finally arrived Loren and Rachel were flies on the wall. While me and my girls were getting ready, they were just shooting away capturing all the moments that were important to me. They never let a moment slip by, especially the silly moments I had with my BMs. From the ceremony to the reception, Loren and Rachel told our story just the way we wanted it. When it came time for our romantic pictures it stress free just like our E-​session. We felt like they knew our personality well enough to «place» us in the right places and just go with it. PLUS they treated us like we were their only clients from beginning to end, regardless of how busy they might have been. You will not be disappointed! My husband and I look forward for the day that Loren and Rachel get to shoot our maternity and newborn portraits! They are keepers!!! =)
