The Jet Center

Not sure what M.S. has a problem with, I love this place! Always have everything I need as soon as I land. Rental cars are always driven straight out to the aircraft doors. Nobody ever minds coming out after hours. Fuel is competitive from what I have seen the times I have come in. Nice lounge!!! They really know how to make you feel welcome. They always work safely and carefully around my aircraft, they are trained well, not sure again why M.S. is so worried about them being around his Heli.

We flew into the Jet Center recently for refuel. First and foremost, the refuel truck came right out quickly. That’s good. What’s bad is that the refueler walked right up under the helicopter’s rotor blades as they were coasting down even though I waved him off and yelled at him to stay outside the rotor disc. I’ve seen what happens when someone gets hit in the head by a main rotor and it’s not pretty so I don’t let people near the aircraft while the rotor’s spinning. This guy just ignored me and came right in and then stood there while the rotor spun down. This is a deal breaker for me, bigtime. If someone does something this unsafe because he thinks he knows everything about helicopters, then there’s no limit to the stupid, unsafe things that person will probably do. Also, they didn’t have a crew car available for us to use even though we called earlier that day. There’s a lot of airports in SoCal, I’ll probably fly elsewhere in the future.
