I love this place. The chili dogs and bbq sandwiches are awesome and the rootbeer is great! The environment is fun with its 50’s theme. It’s interesting ordering on the phone in the booths. I like eating here not only because the food is good but because it’s a nice to take a step back in time. I’ve always gotten wonderful service and I’ll keep going back.

Coney dogs, coney dogs, coneys dogs. They’re absolutely fantastic the chili is phenomenal with just the slightest a hint of sweetness. I’m definitely a regular here in the summer. As well as my friends, they do a fine job of accompanying larger groups contrary to what some other reviews say… The staff is always polite and welcoming. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience here so hit it up, enjoy great food at a fair price in a unique retro/classic environment!

We live within walking distance and enjoy walking over here for a quick dinner. Their root beer is the best! My hubby enjoys the perch and I like any of the hot dogs. Their fries are especially good.

Best burger you will find. Charco burgers are out of this world good. Best Chicago Dog too. Great food, service, atmosphere. Check them out.

Not only was the food mediocre at best, the gentleman working was frustrated at our party of 20. Apparently too much business is an unwelcome issue for this establishment. Perhaps if they learned to accommodate tables larger than 4, they’d have an easier time filling the place up. It was my first, and last experience here. The chicken tenders I ordered say 3 – 4 pieces on the menu. I received two, and was told they’re ‘by weight’. Perhaps it should say that on the menu? The two tenders I received were so hot they burned the inside of my mouth, so I didn’t have to taste the rest of the blah meal. Aside from the poor service, the food gave no reasons to return. McDonalds, anyone?

Pretty good food. Make sure you get the onion rings though if you can handle these monsters. My family and I stop here when we are the cinema right down the road. It is a nice quiet little place with a lot of local charm. The drive up ordering is something you don’t see much of anymore. :)

The food is a great price when compared to quantity. I got the hamburger with a side I’d onion rings. The burgers were fairly large and onion rings were good. Have to get the vanilla milkshake! Not a fan of the décor but the staff was friendly and service was fast.

First time here. I had a burger and fries. Fries were crispy and very good. Burger was good but VERY greasy Maria had a foot long hot dog which see said was good. Root beer is good. The car hop service is cool.

Love to go here in the summer! This place has really good food! The home made applesauce is so delicious! The service is always top notch with very helpful and extremely kind people. We even ate inside once and my boys and myself had a great time. If you’ve never been here I would strongly suggest you go!

Great root beer! It is hard for me to get anything else here. Great root beer floats too. The ambiance is perfect for a 1950’s drive in, the staff is courteous, they even have the little silver coin changers on their belts. Order the 22 ounce root beers, they come in a frosty mug and are wonderful. I’ve also had the Chicago hot dogs, they are very good but I haven’t found any place that can match the real dogs you get in Chicago.

What a fun place!!! This was the first time the kids had been to a drive-in, and we went for the carside service. Kids had the BBQ sandwich and said it was delicious but small(but DD didn’t like the chunky-style applesauce that came with it). My grilled chicken sandwich was decent, but not special. DH had the hamburger and fries and said it was tasty. We tried the root beer based on the Unilocal reviews – very tasty, much better than what you get in the store. I tried the black cherry pop, and it was good but a little sweet. Fun experience.

The restaurant had a welcoming ambiance to it. We choose to eat inside because of the extreme temperatures outside that day. I ordered the Cheeseburger(shocker I know) with their season fries. My husband ordered the breaded chicken sandwich. I thought the burger was excellent. I was shocked that it had an authentic open flame broiled taste. along with the buger, I ordered their in house root beer, OMG it was some of the best root beer I’ve had in a while. I would highly suggest this place if you’re looking for good food, fast service and an overall 50’s diner experience.

The best chili dogs anywhere. A must stop when i come to town. The Root beer is good too! Better than any place I’ve found in LA. Sometimes small towns do have it better.

I’ve visited both Muskegon County locations and their food is consistent in its ups and downs at both places. I have never been impressed with their fries but their onion rings are quite munch-worthy. Their coney and chicago dogs are tasty and probably my top recommendation. Stray off the beaten path of burgers(another item I haven’t always been impressed with) to find some real treats, like their pork BBQ or tenderloin sandwiches(yum!). Eating outside at the Grand Haven Road location isn’t great but the inside area is excellent in the wintertime and on rainy days. As for value, I always walk away feeling I’ve paid a buck or two more than expected, but they recently added some bargain deals that satisfy if you are on a budget. Long story short, most of their menu is good with a few exceptions, the experience adds some fun factor, and bring a few extra dollars if you’re hungry!

If you have ever visited the dog-n-suds in Montague you will love this newly reborn cousin. All of the classic menu, car-hops and inside dining. Grab your poodle skirt or slick back the D-tail.
