Nice lady who runs it but it’s a very dirty and nasty place. The water tastes like it came from a garden hose, the chicken was so over cooked that it had shrunk. Had one toast of the fried okra and it tasted like it had been fired in last years oil. 30 minutes from the time we left my wife and I started to feel sick to our stomachs. This is NOT a 4 star restaurant even in Oklahoma. Please head my warning and same yourself from a horrible experience.

Like most hole in the wall places, looks can be deceiving. But don’t judge too hard because then you might miss out on The BEST fried okra you’ve ever had. Yummy brisket, sides, and solid homemade sweet potato pie. Nicely flavored BBQ sauce, too.

Ok, it’s not pretty but very very good. Coming into the place we were concerned… it was a business lunch. Jackie behind the counter and her husband run the place. I ordered ribs and chicken and was not disappointed! Very tasty. The coleslaw was simply amazing while the potato salad was just ok. Took a little while for the food but I will be back. Might bring some other customers. Have yet to try anything else but you will enjoy the place. Like I said, it’s ugly but great personality!!!

Dirty Nasty Place, don’t eat here. there is no reason to visit this business. these good reviews are from either friends, or people that have never eaten food before. Go To… Chavas or China King or Chandler Road Donuts or Pauls Diner

I live in Las Vegas and stopped by here for my brothers wedding. Everyone kept telling me to stop here so finally on our last day we did. This was by far the most amazing BBQ I’ve ever eaten in my life. I got the sliced beef and pulled pork and I am at a loss for words. The most perfect meat ever made. So juicy an tender it literally melted in your mouth. The people working here were friendly and helpful. We will not only be back to visit but we will tell everyone to come here and we will give them our business(and we have a big family) the multiple times a year we come down to visit

The pulled pork was smokey goodness! The special, family recipe BBQ sauce was delicious! The portions were enormous! The family owned business is a little out of the way but worth navigating the mile or so drive. Friendly, cordial service.

If you’re a vegan with no appetite who doesn’t enjoy good customer service then this is not the place for you. The food was AMAZING and the customer service was excellent! We were driving across the country and decided to hit this place up. We had every type of meat and fried green tomatoes(first time, they were fantastic). It was so much food we couldn’t finish it all. Including to growing boys by the way. Definitely a great place to stop if you’re ever in town, especially if you want to have a whole lot of food and a really enjoyable experience.

Drove all the way here from Az where I do a lot of BBQ. It was a relief to find Smoke House Bobs. At first sight of the menu I thought it was really expensive for BBQ. My wife and I ordered the 3 piece meat for $ 27. It came with 2 sides and we did the bake beans and potato salad. When it came out I couldn’t believe how much food was there. Everything tasted wonderful and had enough left over for dinner that night. I would definitely recommend this place over the other BBQ restaurants in town.

Off the beaten path and the service is OUTSTANDING. Now this is a family owned and very old fashion restaurant. If you want an old time, step back in time building… this is your place. I had brisket and ribs, the sauce was good, the sides were good and the meat had a little fat in it but it was well worth it.

Support local businesses! The staff couldn’t have been nicer, made it a point to learn my name and invite me back. I love that about mom and pop places such as this. Drink refills were on point even though I could have gotten off my lazy butt and done it myself, they consistently offered to do it for me before I even thought about it. I had the rib dinner with mild sauce, with fries and baked beans as sides. Man… what flavor! These might be the best french fries I have ever had. Baked beans were very good, not the best I’ve ever had, but well above average. Ribs had great flavor when combined with their awesome bbq sauce, but they were slightly rough, but not dry rough, I simply had to earn the great flavor with a few extra chews. I will be back.

Locally owned with great, affordable food. Came here with my brothers and our dad because he wanted to eat here for father’s day. All of our food was great. I had the hot link sandwich, which came with chips, a pickle, and a drink for like $ 6.50. The sweet tea was great. I would return.

Food is good but we felt sick half way through from just being too full. It was too much. I do like supporting small family owned businesses so may return just to support them but it won’t be the first one on my list when I’m looking for a place around here.

Delicious and good prices. Catfish was tender, white and lightly seasoned. Pork was tender and perfect with hot BBQ sauce. Great small business to support.

I pulled in to Muskogee around 9pm last Friday after a long trip. Checked into hotel and hit up Unilocal for food recommendations. Found this gem of a BBQ place, thank you Oklahoma helpers! To start, its small and family owned, exactly the type of local business I prefer to support. And talk about using locally sourced food– they grow their own okra and sweet potatoes ! Owner and his wife working together I believe, serving up some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. The beans were loaded with meat and the smoke flavor was absolutely sublime. Fried okra to make sure I ate something green and a couple of slices of white bread to add a super homey touch. If I’m ever back in Muskogee you can bet you’ll find me with my sleeves rolled up and my face in a plate of BBQ.(did I mention how low the prices were? Pulled pork dinner under 10 bucks!!!)

I haven’nt been there but if the food is half as good as it was, it is still the best BBQ around! I’m talking home cookin, and they take pride in there work!

This place is off the beaten place, but close enough to Hwy 62 that it’s not out of your way if you decide to go. Best BBQ experience in Muskogee. The smoke flavor is one of the best I’ve tasted anywhere. The owner’s brother was minding the counter when I went in. Friendly guy. He told they use Pecan & Hickory wood in their smokers. The sauces are great as well. They make their own deep fried okra & fried green tomatoes with a wonderful corn meal batter. What’s nice about it it’s surrounded by two fields where they grow the veggies for the restaurant. Now I will warn you that it is a little bit on the dirty side, but that stuff doesn’t bother me when it comes to finding great BBQ.
