Harmony House is a nice, homey spot to grab a decent lunch at a decent price. We were traveling and wants to find an alternative to the chains lining the highway. Harmony House is, indeed, in an old house. The dining room is in the front of the house and a bakery in the rear. It’s very comfortable and charming. The waitress was very friendly and talkative and the service was good. We all had either a cup or bowl of the soup of the day, which was tortilla soup. It was very good, a nice amount of spice. One of our party didn’t like that he chicken in the soup was shredded than chunks. The accompanying clover rolls were excellent. I also had a half sandwich of pimento cheese on wheat. The menu offers lots of options for toppings but I like mine plain so the pimento cheese has to stand on its own. It was very good. My wife had the lunch special, which was king ranch chicken. She said it was good and similarly spiced as the tortilla soup. The special also includes dessert. She got the vanilla Valentine cupcake, which was on the small side(but good for a punch time dessert) and tasted good. All in all, it was a nice lunch at a reasonable price.

This was a great lunch spot! The poppy seed dressing was sweeter than I expected but still great. The chicken salad sandwich was good, and you can’t go wrong with a place that gives cookie samples!

Another gem that I found exploring Muskogee today. I love finding unique little local places. Food was good, service friendly and location charming. I want to go back when the weather is nice and sit in the patio. The bakery selection is yummy and the daily specials, although I just had the one, look appealing. Will definitely return.

Went to lunch with one vegetarian and two meat eaters. The restaurant is in a former house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a 3 star for the vegetarian because there were few choices that were freshly made. There was a veggie burger from the freezer. The two meat eaters voted 4 stars. The hamburger and fries were fresh and yummy. The daily special with moist chicken and soup was also a winner. The bread pudding was shared by all three. It was moist with raisins and the perfect ending to lunch. We also took a strawberry cupcake, from the bakery, to go.

A definite must try if you are in or around Muskogee. I had the daily special: king ranch chicken with a salad and a chocolate cupcake with the next peanut butter icing I have ever tasted. My boyfriend had the club sandwich and tortilla soup. Both were very tasty! We left with a dozen assorted homemade cookies to eat on our drive. Thanks to for listing them as the #1 stop for lunch. I couldn’t agree more! Service was tip top and the dining area was cute and well decorated. Make this a stop on your trip for sure!

First of all, the staff is amazing. We were on a roadtrip from Ohio to Texas and arrived late for lunch. The kitchen was closed and the grill was shut down for the day. We were preparing to get bummed when they told us they’ll make us a cold sandwich. Perfect! The sandwich was so amazing we had to try the cookies for dessert! The lemon cookies are fantastic and so light. I’d recommend getting 2 – 3 per person. Harmony House is my favorite place to eat in Oklahoma! Thank you to the entire staff!

At first site, I thought what a CUTE place! In sitting down I surveyed the room. This is where all the ladies who lunch and the debutants in training go to eat in Muskogee. My husband was the only man in the joint — hysterical. I would give the place five stars for atmosphere but lunch was just A-OK. My husband had the burger and I have the tuna salad. The menu boasted a ¼ meat patty but my husband’s burger was much smaller than that. In fact there was about 30% more bun than actual beef. My tuna salad wasn’t too thrilling either. The tuna was ok but there certainly wasn’t very much of it — another case of too much bread with too little stuffing. I was also disappointed in the way it was served. I learned only after I ordered that there was herb bread available. When I asked to have the herb bread instead of the regular bread I was told it was too late even though the waitress had JUST left our table about a minute before. When I did get my sandwich it was served on plain wheat bread — it wasn’t even toasted. Lastly, we got chips on the side. I THINK that was our only option. They were something along the lines of salty Lay’s chips — nothing special — certainly not gourmet. I think a little bit more effort needs to be put in to the way the food it being served. We did take dessert to go — we couldn’t help ourselves. There was a full on bakery in the back. I got a lemon square and my husband got a chocolate chip cookie — both were outstanding. I think overall, they are a MUCH better bakery than they are a café. Boo!

The Harmony house has been part of muskogee for 20 years. The owners still carry the same traditions as when it first opened, and they are thoughtful in preparing every item that goes out. It’s very down to earth home cooking, and everything is made from scratch. This is a gem in muskogee and I hope it continues its tradition for 20 more years.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you what the food is like as we arrived for lunch at 2:45 pm yesterday looking for somewhere nice for lunch as we traveled back home to Texas from Kansas. There were 2 signs on the building saying that lunch is seated from 11 am till 3 pm. When we entered the bakery, as the main door was shut we asked about having lunch. The lady behind the counter said that lunch was finished. I pointed out the clear statements that indicated that lunch did not finish until 3 pm and she said ‘Oh yes, well we have finished lunch now’. We walked out extremely disappointed and I register this review because a business that advertises it is open between certain times should honor its statements. Sorry, but I am very disappointed with this attitude.

The food is good, but you don’t get enough … The sandwiches need more meat. It’s expensive for what you get. Great little place for lunch for the ladies.

I’d been meaning to Unilocal this place for quite some time; forgive the terse review. The Burger– They bake all their breads; including the poppy-seed onion roll on which the burger is served. The patty was flavorful and cooked perfectly and the produce was crispy, fresh and slightly chilled. The meat seemed of the 80⁄20 chuck variety and the cooking method was griddled(though not«smashed»). I have to say that this burger ranks among the finest I’ve had! The potato soup(I was there on a Wednesday apparently) was so good it was almost fantastic, though if I had to nitpick I’d say it was ever-so-slightly watery. Their baked goods are almost heaven! Do NOT miss this place if you’re anywhere near Muskogee. 4 ½ stars!

I love this place!!! It always smells good right when you walk in the door. Their lemon bars and rolls are to die for. Everything tastes like it is made with love and that is how cooking should be. If you are ever in Muskogee, Oklahoma you need to try this place. It is nestled in an old house right next to the First Baptist Church of Muskogee.
