Lantern Lodge Bar & Grill

This Bar & Grill is located in a sort of strange location that you can easily drive by a few times if you aren’t paying attention, so make sure you use your GPS to help you get here if you aren’t familiar with the area.
The inside of the place sports a very relaxed tavern feel, with a lot of dark wood furniture, a fire place, a? shaped bar, and a lot of space to spread out in and find a seat. There are two or three TVs in the place, a jukebox, and a pool table for entertainment. The lighting is a bit dim at times, but it’s a bar, so that’s to be expected. Overall, it gives a very homey feel. The bar also has a decent selection of booze and beers, more than enough to satisfy your average person and their menu looks pretty nice (I’ve never gotten food, but have sat with people eating).
The only issue I have with this place is that it seems like every single time I come in here, something is going on that ruins the evening or makes me not want to come back again. These events range from bartenders that «put their own twists» on the drinks and don’t give you exactly what you ask for (I imagine this could be a huge problem for some people), sudden rushes for food that leave the bartenders, who have to double as waitresses, completely out of the barroom for several minutes at a time (the kitchen is like 1 or 2 floors up), or the occasional regular that feels that because they show up regularly, it gives them an excuse to start shit with other customers or be an asshole to the staff.
Where the bar shines is that because it doesn’t get too too busy as the night goes on, if you’re that type of person (I am) that wants to pester the bartenders with making you complicated drinks, they have the time and will happily hook you up with something weird if they have the stuff. The staff is also very nice and the few regulars that will generally be there late at night are good company if you feel like chatting.

Horrible, absolutely horrible. Dark, dreary, run down dump. It’s like drinking in a basement… oh wait it is. Stay away.
