Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach-Broadway at the Beach

one of my most horrible Holiday Inn stays. My private property was taken from my room and not only did they not do anything about it the front desk lady on shift that morning yelled at me! i asked for a manager and she said no one is here, however the owner showed up a few minutes once voices started raising, mind you she did more yelling then I did. i have stayed at many Holiday Inns and this was by far the worst. We found a cockroach on top of the fridge the last morning of our stay. The housekeeping that took my stuff didn’t even clean properly, the sheets weren’t all changed, the cover was stained and I found trash that wasn’t even ours under the bed. we’re very laid back people and don’t make a big fuss about stuff, but I absolutely DO NOT recommend staying there. Although there were nice staff there as well and the owner tried to «make it better» but it only takes one person to ruin an entire trip for you, not to mention being called «F*ing White People» by the front desk staff after having things taken from your room.
DO NOT STAY HERE.

This location does not come close to the standards of Holiday Inn!
The maintenance is severely lacking along with the housekeeping!
The owner needs to level this place and start new!
The staff needs a lot of training!
Example when then staff announced exactly at 10:00 am that the breakfast was over and immediately took away the fresh food they had brought out three minutes earlier and had every put away by 10:05 am.
I travel a lot more than most and I have never encountered this situation before!
I’m terminating the stay here and no one should ever subject themselves to this facility!

Unlike the other comments on here, I had a good stay for the one night I spent here. Not the nicest Holiday Inn, room for improvement (Needs shower remodel), but pretty good overall. I was flying out the next day and needed to be close to airport, about 15 mins. away which was nice. I usually pick Holiday Inn’s because their beds are very comfortable and consistently clean in my case. My room was clean, first things I always check in
hotels are mattresses for bugs and bathroom for hair, automatic room change if so, but have never had to do at Holiday Inn’s. Would recommend this place and would stay there again. Broadway Louie’s across street is within walking distance and good to watch a game and grab a beer.

If I could get away w «no stars», I would. My fiancé and I checked into our room (that was free provided we sit through a timeshare presentation at another Holiday Inn resort). We immediately agreed the conditions were less than acceptable. We left and got a room on the beach instead. Nasty…

Had received a free 4 night stay months ago and 2alked into the room and a ozone detector machine was plugged in ??? And turned around left promptly to stay at the beach instead, now to sit for the weekend 1 hr timeshare presentation in the am so I am not charged to my account. … motel 5.5 would be a upgrade compared to that dump!

So just staying here for 2 nights … My hair almost caught on fire by the blow dryer provided as it blew a fuse, woke up on our final day to a freakin caterpillar moving around our bed, and finally water faucet just came off. To top it off no manager till noon and no general manger either. I just wanna get out of here!!!
