Waitress didn’t acknowledge us for about 15 minutes. The fact that it was mostly empty at 6:30 should have been our first clue that we were going to be disappointed. At the beach you expect fresh fish and what we received with the shrimp and fish and chips had to have been frozen. We are not going to make this mistake again. Bass Pro should just stick to the equipment and leave the cooking to other places.

Wife and I had lunch here. Bimini bread was a little stale. But the blackened mahi mahi made up for it. It was great. Wife had the shrimp salad and it was great as well!

The restaurant is located inside the Bass Pro Shops in Myrtle Beach Mall. I ate here with my dad and a friend of his. I really like the décor of the restaurant. You can sit, eat, and watch the fish swim in the giant tank. Our hostess was pretty sour, though. She wasn’t even there when we walked in. It’s like she hates her job. I had me a grilled grouper sandwich, which came with fries and tartar sauce. The sandwich tastes good with tartar sauce; but I will say that sandwich was fairly overpriced(it was about the size of a burger you can get at Hardee’s for a fraction of the cost). All in all, the meal wasn’t quite worth the money, but grouper is fairly hard to find around, so there faces a tradeoff. I like that there is a restaurant inside Bass Pro Shops, but I’d probably drive around and look for a more local seafood joint that’s even cheaper.

I don’t normally do chain restaurants when I’m out of town, especially at the beach; but travel with coworkers requires compromise. First, the mall it is adjacent to is clearly not experiencing its heyday anymore and the big anchors are Belk and Bass Pro Shops. Also, the décor harkens back to a late 90s — early 00s when chains were popping up everywhere. Clean, but dated. That being said, the food and service was good. Our server wasn’t enthusiastic, but who can blame him under the circumstances? Literally, hundreds of restaurants are in the area and tons are local with fresh catch specials and native flair. Their sweet bread loaf was pretty good if you are cool with sweet bread with a sugar crust. I didn’t mind it. My coworker had a grouper sandwich that seemed overpriced at $ 16, but was a very large piece of fish, toppings, sauce, and a side salad. The salad looked pre-fab, but it is what it is at a chain. I had the Islamorada Portofino. Two decent blackened tilapia filets with three grilled shrimp over seasoned rice with a «lobster» sauce on top. I had no evidence to prove there was lobster in the sauce, but it was good nonetheless. The side veg was broccoli that was probably steamed and still had a nice crunch to it. With two beers each our tab was around $ 55, which isn’t bad for beach dining. Here’s the skinny. If you’re at the beach, next to the ocean, where the fish live and are caught daily and brought to shore(get it, there’s an ocean over there?) Why you would go to a chain is beyond me. Maybe you have to appease an aunt who considers this adventurous because it’s not the Olive Garden in Blandville, USA. If aunt Carol can’t handle fresh-catch SC shrimp or needs to eat near a mall, this will at least let you have decently prepared good at an only slightly overpriced check. Go to a real fish camp. You’re probably on vacation from a landlocked state or Canada and don’t know how many options there are. But kudos! You’re looking this up on Unilocal so you’re searching. Go away from the malls and outlets, get real, Southern, delicious food and thank me later. Bye y’all!

We ordered the Aligator appetizer to go. The appetizer was great! It tasted amazing and the green sauce that came with it nicely balances out the spicies on the breaded aligator. The restaurant décor was on point. Since they are connected to Bass Pro Shop, they have animals mounted on the walls and the ceiling. It is beautiful in there. Only issue I had was that I called to have the food to go about 30 minutes earlier, but I had to wait a while for them to bring the food and to pay for it. And when I walked in, there wasn’t anyone checking in the customers. I had to go find someone. But otherwise, the food was great. I might come back just for the gators again when I am in town.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening. We should have known when we were seated and noticed the table beside us with 4 people were waiting. No other patrons were in the place at the time. Our waitress finally came to take our drink orders and brought them out. After some time, she came back and took our food orders. Meanwhile, the 4 people beside us are still waiting on their food. Should have been our first clue. After waiting nearly an hour for our food, 2 of our orders were wrong. The waitress proceeds to tell us that the oven roasted chicken couldn’t be ordered with rice and that’s why they had potatoes with it, when it is clearly on the menu seasoned rice OR potatoes. We knew it was because they were about to close and they had left over potatoes already made and didn’t want to cook the rice. The meals were cold, clearly heated in the microwave. Terrible over-all experience and we will never go back. We tried to talk to the hostess about it as we left but she was too busy getting her keys out to go home and followed us out to the parking lot as we left. What a disappointment and a waste of money!

Went for lunch – we were surprisingly the only people in the restaurant. We ordered salads with grilled chicken which were fresh, nicely prepared and average portion sized. Waitstaff was very friendly. Very appealing to the big game and taxidermy crowds.

So… took away sushi… then took away happy hour… now apparently took away service. not even good service just any service at all. Not nice. Not good. Not accommodating. And… probably 25 tables open and there was a wait? What’s up George, Leon, and John?

I really want to give this restaurant 2 ½ stars but I can’t. Where do I start, this place has a lot of potential but unfortunately it’s probably being mismanaged. We were there on a Friday night at 7:30 and the place was dead. At the height of summer any restaurant in Myrtle Beach at 7:30 on a Friday night that is dead usually won’t make it. Décor and location is really cool especially the large fish tank but unfortunately it doesn’t make up for the mediocre food. I ordered a tuna steak and specifically ordered it raw and asked them to just sear the tuna lightly(just the grill marksman the outside). When it came it was pretty much cooked with just a little red in the middle. Really how hard is it to screw up a raw tuna steak. My meal came with a rice pilaf that was kind of cold and broccoli that tasted like it was heated up in a microwave, nothing special. Years ago this place was awesome even had a sushi bar not sure what happened but something’s gotta give. On a side note, the waitress was good.

This establishment is attached to and owned and operated by the Bass Pro Shop, which is a very well run retail store, however Islamorada is a mess. My party of 4 visited on a slow Monday afternoon for lunch. We were being assisted by a waiter who appeared to be training a waitress which seemed ok at first but turned out to be an odd experience, drinks were slow to arrive at our table and slower to be refilled. I ordered fish tacos — which were actually pretty good. One member of my party ordered the oven roasted ½ chicken — it was roasted to the point of being completely dry(think Griswold Christmas Turkey) the other entrees of Salad and a kids meal were reported to be mediocre. We were not checked on by the wait staff until our meal was nearly complete, when we reported the dry chicken to the waiter(which was less than ½ eaten) his response was«you should have said something earlier and I could have done something», we didn’t have the opportunity to say anything because he never returned to our table. I would avoid this place, it could be good if improvement were made to the service, the facility is well kept and has a good atmosphere but you will get better food and service at an Applebee’s.

Their bread loaf is addictively amazing. It has a very soft texture and amazing taste, especially with the sugar on top. The staff here is very nice and friendly. The sweet is pretty good, but could be slightly sweeter, but overall perfect. The alligator is actually really good, better than I expected. It is a little chewy, though. The coffee here is very good. Their burger with pepper jack cheese is awesome; it has some thickness to it. The fries are also amazing.

It was a great place for dinner! Great food. Great service. Very reasonable prices. We stumbled across it but it was a great surprise. Clam Chowder was fabulous. Chicken and Shrimp added to salads were delicious — flavorful and tender. Salads were fresh and large. Susan our waitress was wonderful! Gave us great advice about food and was very attentive.

Bass pro has a surprisingly nice restaurant with great food. The décor is predictably, pleasantly outdoorsy, complete with a huge saltwater aquarium. We had the tuna & tilapia dinners that came with outstanding bread, baked potato, & broccoli. All was excellent. We’ll be back for more!

Venison stuffed mushrooms are amazing! Lunch service is quick as there wasn’t much of a lunch crowd. Serving sizes are big, so we did half sizes of meals and shared. Clam chowder was good, as well as the bread that is brought out with drinks. Waiter was very friendly and quick to refill drinks. Certainly a great place to come year after year.

Pretty great food, great service from our server Sufu, drinks came our quickly, the appetizer bread was bomb, and unique good choices! But… prices seemed a bit high and the fried food was 80% batter and 20% fish… I would’ve liked more fish flavor than breading. Tip: Get the grilled versions! The location is also super convenient for parking and the restaurant itself is a beautiful change from other Myrtle Beach divey saloons.

Great service, food was good but a bit pricy for what you get. Went there since we were at bass pro.

Came in got seated and there was only a couple tables taken on this Saturday lunch. After sitting for a bit at a pretty dirty table a nasty smell came over us and we noticed it was very very hot. Looking at the menu we decided it wasn’t worth it to sit through the smell and the dirty for the food they were offering at those prices. I have eaten at these bass pro restaurants before at another locations but this one was really subpar.

Awful avoid at all cost… typical fried frozen appetizers. This place used to be good. Since my last visit they removed the sushi menu and bar menu which always was good. Happy hour was anything but happy. no we don’t have the wahoo spread. but we all have an attitude! No one at bar but me and hubby and 2 other people yet 10 min to pour my beer cause I’m too busy complaining to the other patrons about the other customer… Yes it was always pricey but now it’s not even worth dragging yourself to it. so sad it was a cool place to drink and watch people.

Just Ok. A little over priced but I guess that’s because it is attached to the Bass Pro shop. Server was awesome, very friendly and chatty.
