I just had my first, which will also be my last visit to Lucky Panda. Although the food was good, it’s we’ll overpriced by comparison with other like Chinese restaurants. The biggest turn off was that the owners were cold & let their children run amuck in the dining area. I sat to enjoy lunch while working in the area only to have to listen to children running through the dining area while kicking & throwing a beach ball. Yes, I said throwing a beach ball. The owners/parents were behind the counter & did nothing. There are many better options in the south strand area at a better value. I’d pass on this one. I’m assuming by past reviews that they’ve changed ownership recently, which may be the problem.

I would give this place a good review for the food but the daughter they have working the counter is beyond rude. This last visit, I actually had to tell her she was going to ruin the family business because she was dropping the fbomb about the previous customer as she left the shop. Unbelievable. It was like I wasn’t even standing there. She took my money, not even a smile. Handed me my order without a word. Not even a thank you. This was before I told her her language was offensive.

This was a good place before it changed hands. Ordered chicken with steamed vegetables and brown sauce. They’re cutting corners and they are now using processed chicken. Ruins the healthy factor of the meal. I’ll need to go elsewhere.

Food is great and has awesome flavor! I think it’s great it’s a family run business and so convenient location wise when shopping in the area. Cook time for your food is always Fast and fresh as well!

Ordered(all large) chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, and chicken with broccoli. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Definitely got what we paid for; they stuff the containers full to bursting! Wasn’t a fan of the lo mein though. Noodles were very soft and gooshy but that’s probably just me and my weird texture issues. Chicken and broccoli was perfect. Just the right amount of sauce where it wasn’t swimming but enough to mix some rice in and enjoy. Fried rice was also great. Not greasy at all, perfectly moist. Egg flavor was potent but made the dish more enjoyable. 100% recommend!

Well, l had considered this my go-to Chinese restaurant in the area until my last visit there. They have a child working the counter and answering the phone. Maybe she is of legal age to work, but she looks about 9. She is a rude little thing, which is more of a problem than whatever age she is. Her parents paid no attention as she was obnoxious at the counter. Then when I got my order home, one meal was incorrect and the other had a rubber band in it(photo). It was a bad experience and this is coming from someone who rarely complains. They got the ball rolling with their poor customer service and finished it with the poor order accuracy and cleanliness. I am bummed because their food has always been good, but I won’t be patronizing their restaurant again.

Great take out spot. Food was hot & delicious. Has Hunan shrimp which was enough for 2 of us for lunch with two shrimp egg rolls. Recommend this place. It’s rare for me to find oriental good this good…
