Maryland Fried Chicken

Best liver dinners ever. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Everything is hot and fresh. We vacation here every year and that is the first restaurant we go to. Simply awesome.

I have been eating here for 40 years came here as a kid and I still come as an adult. It’s the best fried chicken, shrimp, livers, gizzards, ETC. They have fresh brewed tea again, «lesson learned» and the foo# is as great as ever. Don’t miss the cheese cake and pecan pie.

I got the chicken filet sandwich.
It was a pretty small piece of fried chicken breast on a roll. No lettuce, tomato, mayo, just plain. It had good flavor and was moist. I was expecting a little more substance to it.

Had the three piece leg special and two side and a drink for $ 5.89. Chicken was excellent, crispy outside and moist inside. Tastes like homemade fried chicken. The sides needed more flavor, Mac and cheese was boring and beans were just ok.

Every time we’re in MB we have a pint of gizzards and they NEVER disappoint ! The chicken is also good. Some of the negative reviews are VERY picky eaters who wouldn’t be satisfied at a gourmet Resturant !

I had the 3 drumstick special with two sides and half a pint of fried gizzards. Had read the reviews stating the long wait so I called in ahead only to be greated with a vociemail. (figured they were busy and just drove there anyways.) Got there and they were quite a few people waiting for there food and several ahead of me in line. It wasn’t anything crazy long like chipolte’s line thou. I order and waited probably 20mins for my food. All the while hoping that the chicken wouldnt be a disappointment. Well on the way back to our hotel I just couldn’t help but to try a gizzard. Dam near burnt me, it was piping hot but worth the pain as I eagerly tried to get it down my throat. Fried Gizzard… Delicious. Check! Now on to the chicken. By the time we got back to the hotel the chicken had cooled to a reasonable temp. These drumstick were surprisingly BIG. Bigger then your average Popeye’s drumstick. the skin was well seasoned and crispy. Moist and flavourful all the way to the bone. The sides werent great but for the price i paid i couldnt complain. My thoughts… Chicken and gizzards… Delicious, worth the wait. Will defintatly be stopping back in next time I’m in town.

Not bad. No frills, no fuss fried chicken. The sides are forgettable but the chicken is good. Next time I’d go for the white meat. It was juicy and not dry at all. It’s kind of chicken you bring home and make your own side dishes.

Bland chicken, bland side options, bland ambiance. Honestly if you want fried chicken, you’re better off going to Chick Fil A or Bojangles before going here. It looks like an authentic little chicken restaurant on the outside, but do not be fooled, this chicken is AWFUL. The whole dining experience was horrendous and never in my life will I return.

We walked in the door and I could feel the oil in the air coat my skin. It smelled good, but greasy. We waited on line, and waited, and waited. Finally we decided that we waited too long and I think the greasy air was bothering my husband, so we left.
They have low prices for a meal, about $ 7.00 each, but it wasn’t worth the wait.

The best fried chicken I have had in like forever!!! So worth it! We ordered a family 9 pc meal with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. It came with homemade gravy that was out of this world! Definitely will be back here before our vacation ends!

Very simple chicken spot i noticed driving down the highway. figured i would try it, like another reviewer said previously the sides are a little plain, the mashed potato was simple no real seasoning or anything but the chicken was simple and clean and just good old fashioned fried chicken. prices are cheap too great lunch place after you leave the beach. just come for the chicken

The fried chicken here is insanely good, but even better are the deep fried gizzards. Service is a bit slow, so call in if you can.

So delicious for what is basically to-​go food! Comes in a to-​go box whether you’re staying or going, and the chicken is amazing!

Southern Fried Goodness, family owned, and downtown. This business has been here since I’ve been a little girl and it’s as good as I remember. This is not the place if you’re watching calories however, this is the place for a decadent «cheat meal» when you wish to indulge in a caloric splurge. This is one of my «MUST» stops when I come home to MBSC. Keep serving us consistently good food and friendly service and I’ll keep coming back! Hooah.

Awesome chicken! Sides are okay. But the chicken is the star! Reasonable and friendly staff. Definite regular customer here!

The chicken was OK. The crust was nicely breaded and not greasy. White meat was dry. Mashed potatoes were almost a liquid. Mac and cheese side average. You’d do better at Hardee’s or KFC.

Where the locals go to get chicken, fish, collards, Mac n cheese or homemade chicken salad

We rode by and decided to turn back around to stop in. The wait was super long because one person was working and running the front. The chicken was not as crisp as I would like. However, if you do like your chicken like this you would love it! The chicken still had a ton of flavor and was moist. The sweet tea was standard… nothing too special. The gizzards were GREAT! We loved the crust and the balance of chew. We didn’t have a chance to try much but I’m sure it would have been just as yummy!
