I’m usually not a fan of fried chicken, but it’s hard to argue with something fried that doesn’t taste incredibly greasy. The outside skin was thin and crispy, though the meat itself could have been spiced a bit more. The side dishes were excellent; chili cheese fries that didn’t ooze fat, sweet candied yams, and collard greens that didn’t taste… collard. The lemonade was slightly sour and sweet and tasted like a lemon — we asked, it was freshly squeezed :) Overall, a great, cute little restaurant.

This place was really good. We were looking for something different and I love soul food. I had the fried pork chop, collard greens, and green beans. We also had a fried chicken. Everything was very good and reasonably priced(about 8 $ for the meat and two sides and a drink). The cornbread was also very good. We got complimentary pound cake with chocolate drizzle which was outstanding. This place is hard to find but there was no wait and there was parking in front. It’s next to some sort of thrift shop and is a bit hard to see from the road. If you are tired of the tourist cuisine give this one a try. They don’t answer the phone but are open every day except Sunday for lunch and dinner.
